I have to baby-sit the nieces this evening. *is nervous* At least it's at their house so they'll be able to follow their routines mostly. I'm sure it won't be as bad as I imagine, but... Still a little worried. I am not a baby-sitter.

ETA: It's totally snowing. I don't think they'll be playing in the backyard like my brother was imagining this

I'm not a baby-sitter either, and always dread when I get saddled with watching my 4 nieces, but whenever they get too rambunctious I pop in a Disney movie and that normally settles them down. If only because they enjoy "explaining" what's happening to me.

But I share you baby-sitting duty fear/pain. Good luck! ^_^

Hee, yeah, they're good if there's a 'show' but thankfully it was late and really all I had to do was dinner and then scuttle them into bed with some reading to take the edge off from all the chasing around they did. They've got a pretty solid bedtime routine, so that helped too. I can't imagine if there were four instead of two of them though! Very glad it's over and there were no crazy mishaps. Save for the dog, but hey, I can only do so much.

TV will be your baby sitter. It works wonders, trust me. Drinks (sugar less!)and snacks also work. And don't take no back-talk! You are the boss. ::Nods::

Survived! I didn't know how to work the TV! Otherwise I might've gone that route. They were very good and I stood my ground on the teeth-brushing that they tried to convince me they didn't have to do. Ha! Like I haven't been around for bedtime before!

I think I was saved by the fact that the girls were exhausted. I don't think they would have been quite so compliant otherwise. Heh. But all went fine. Thank goodness. Whew.
