Re: ficcing it up

Sooo.... screw it, I'm doing what I want.

Selfish I know, even after doing a poll and making people think there might be organized chaos happening...

Uh, yeah.

I don't want it to be a 'thon, so what's going to happen is that I'm going to post a prompt - possibly weekly actually - and then people can leave comment fic or link to their fic, however you want to do it. I know most of you said a week was too short, but I can't let something like this linger very long otherwise it becomes overwrought and painful - and again I'll mention that I don't want a 'thon here, so thems my reasons for doing it on a weekly basis. If you get to it, you get to it. You can always post later if you don't make it for the current week.

Since it looks like most of the people volunteering some interest aren't in the same fandoms, it will have to be multi-fandom. Choose your fandom, glance at the prompt and we'll see what happens. I'm thinking of this more as an exercise, a fast write, something just to play with so...I would say 1500 words max. Even that sounds too long to me, but hey, you guys do what you want. It's amorphous. No fandom police will come after you if it's longer.

The multi-fandom thing means it's not going to turn out quite the way I was hoping, but alas, that's the nature of the beast 'round these parts. Since we can't do it as a single fandom, it's sort of become just a prompting community, but...I'm okay with that. It'll still be interesting to see what a more specific plot prompt turns up.

I suppose it could be a comm, but that would imply some seriousness and commitment so not doin' that. If you want to offer feedback about all this rambling, go for it.

In summary: have a prompt, play with it and report back as you see fit. :)
