Happy Birthday Buffy!
In honor of Buffy airing ten years ago, I'm following janedavitt's example and posting an early fandom drabble. But first, my own little foray into fandom...
I hadn't even seen Buffy. I was on the third season of Angel (on DVD during the last season of Angel I later found out) and after watching them tear apart any possible hope for Wesley and Fred in "Billy" I ran to the interweb. I was distraught. I needed to see Wesley happy. And thus my stumbling upon some Wes/Fred fic, some Wes/Fred smut of all things.
*gasp*
I even read Cordy/Angel after "Waiting in the Wings." Then I found some Wes/Angel and thebratqueen and the rest is history. It took me a long time to de-lurk, but I did eventually. And here I am. *waves*
I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for Buffy and her forcing that crazy spin-off into life and giving me Doyle. If it weren't for Doyle I would have never finished the first season.
Well, I was going to post something else, but I think Doyle deserves a little tribute.

I watched with childish excitement as Doyle grabbed for my wrist to verify my humanity.
Then there it was.
He didn’t feel it. He couldn’t have... That quickening of my all too human pulse as he slid his fingers over my wrist.
Please, no. What could I possibly say to explain away the skittering of my heart? He would have to be the one to feel this new body betray me. That quick slither of his fingertips made me guiltily wish that I could switch between demon and human infinitely, so Doyle's fingers would be forever sliding over my wrist.
