Funny how such important states of being can all be so similar, Wesley thought.
A gasp, then a shudder. A twitch, a stuttering pulse, or stillness. Stillness rarely bodes well.
Possibly a scream. More likely a howl. Sometimes silent, but we all know death or something more dark is closer then.
All equally messy, and often frightening. If they weren’t would they be so moving?
It didn’t really add up, but the evidence was there.
Funny how there were so many states happening the same room.
A miracle birth, a dead coupling, and the watcher as witness.
