Ok, so we have a group project that we've been working on in one of my classes. One of the girls in our group hasn't been to class all term and hasn't tried to contact any of us, or called us back when we've called her. FINALLY today, A WEEK BEFORE WE PRESENT, she emails us and tells us that her grandma has been dying so she' been going back to see her basically every other day and now she's going to the funeral but is there anything she can do because she really can't get a bad grade in the class.

Ok, it's horrible what she's had to go through, but is it wrong of me to not really be that sympathetic towards her in terms of failing the class? Because she had how many weeks to drop it, knowing the situation. Plus she could have just told us in "i have a family emergency" and told the professor what happened, but she didn't. We have all the work done for the project so there's really nothing for her to do. I honestly don't care that she'll fail the class because of those things, like hi, when you knew about the situation weeks ago and knew you'd never be in class WHY DIDN'T YOU DROP IT.

That's my rant for today, it just bugs me. I may sound like i have no feelings but whatever. I really do feel horrible for her that her grandma died, but in terms of the class, that's her own damn fault and she needs to take responsibility for it.
