The plan for tonight was to get a head-start on my Inferno essay (on Dante's nastier diction, tentatively titled When the Shit Fits). Turns out there were too many distractions, namely a veritable inundation of international mail. It appears everything but the kitchen sink and a reply from Skidmore came today, which means that nothing at all got done and, unrelatedly, that thank yous are in order.

Jessie!- Thank you so very much. The mixed media experiment is pretty-pretty and has been added to your section of my bedroom wall (someday, I think, it will devour the rest of my room). And the book! Books with attached bookmarks have been known to give me a funny warm feeling, but this'll be my first book that is actually mine for keeps with one. Yes, I adore Poe. I don't know if I've said as much, but I do remember your story about reading The Raven, and well...yes. More on that and, um, everything else under the harsh winter sun in forthcoming letterness.

Hannah!- You spoil me. Like your charming letters aren't enough, geez. I always, always love new music to listen to, since I'm kind of poo about keeping a steady influx of songs I haven't heard a hundred bazillion times. Extra bonus that it's crazy awesome music. :D It's helped me maintain happiness all the way through my Calc. homework-- quite a feat, I assure you.

Thanks lots, guys! :]

Now I must read. But I probably will not. Whee!
