Eraserheads Reunion Concert
Well...This is an uber late reaction to the year's most awaited concert. Luck happened to be on my side, as if all the forces in the universe are conspiring just to get me to The Fort that night. I was not really supposed to go as the event is to take place at the night of my college organization's alumni homecoming in Los Banos Laguna. But then news came that some of my gals won't be comin, so i decided to just stay put in Manila.
Friday morning, my officemates were talking about the concert and bragging about their VIP pass c/o Markus from Eheads. The thing is he invited those in his multiply contacts and sent them VIP passes through email. Some people could just get luckier than me
Girl: I got VIP pass to the concert!
Me: Pano:
Girl: lahat ng contacts ni Markus sa multiply bingyan nya ng pass
Me:Sinong Markus???? (Ummm. the truth is that I'm a Eheads fan...pero who isn't ba??? but si Ely lang po ang kilala ko!)
Girl: Si Markus Adoro yung sa eheads
Me: OK
Me (searching Markus Eraserheads at Google and Multiply)
Hay ang bobo ko talaga!
But then by that time hindi na sya tumatanggap ng requests coz he's busy na.
I still invited him to be my Multiply contact for future freebies malay mo....
Ayun nawalan na naman ako ng pagasa!
And then a miracle happened.
One of my officemates, aka Juned said that he can give free tickets to those who have blogs. you just have to wear a RedHorse t-shirt at the concert, take a picture and then blog.
(tama! may malalim na rason kung bakit ako nagsusulat ng blog ngayon)
Ang moda ay Juned would get the t-shirts for us and we'll collect it from him sa entrance na nung concert venue. The pessimist in me would not believe but deep inside I was really hoping na totoo. A P1,300 ticket and all you have to do is wear the Tshirt, take a pic and post it on the internet!
Saturday, It was already 6pm, wala pa ding text from Juned, (unti-unti ng gumuguho ang mga pangarap ko). At 6:30 kinapalan ko na mukha ko and texted him kung tuloy. He said yes! at nasan na ba daw ako!
Hayun at exactly 8:00 PM. I was at Fort for my very first concert outside the UP campus
I couldnt find my friends inside, and I wala rin akong patience makipagsiksikan sa bandang unahan
