The moon was in the sky, gracing the heavens with its silver light. Hyukjae loved the moon. He was a respected god of the day, with golden hair and a bright smile; however, he loved the moon dearly for its beauty. Donghae loved Hyukjae, yet he was a lowly god of the night who couldn’t even dream of ever meeting with Hyukjae since the dream god Yesung wouldn’t allow it. Besides, how could he face the Adonis when he was so unattractive in appearance, with dimly glowing skin the color of the blue stars and features as dark as the night itself?
Donghae dearly loved Hyukjae; however, the latter would always be staring up at the full moon with eyes full of amazement and wonderment. Donghae had no chance of the other even noticing him anytime he was around. The farthest he got to Hyukjae noticing him was the one time Hyukjae had asked him to ride on a cloud to view the moon. But even then, Hyukjae had only stared at the moon, not even sparing a glance at Donghae’s silently crying figure.
The lowly god of night had come up with all sorts of plans to try and get the other to notice him. He carried out his first plan with perfect execution as he passed by Hyukjae’s palace in the sky with a cloud. The stars had begun to come out, dotting the ebony with glitter; however, to those who lived below, the clouds covered them all up. Save for the moon.
Donghae held a hand out to the moon, and asked the kind darkness to overlap each other so as to cover the moon. He worked quickly before arriving at Hyukjae’s balcony. He spotted the god standing at the door; therefore, he hurried to him. However, before he could even take a step, Hyukjae growled at him with sorrow and anguish lacing his voice.
“Leave,” He ordered, “I do not wish to see the one who has covered the moon with darkness right now.”
Heartbroken, Donghae fled from the palace with glittering, silver tears falling from his eyes. He didn’t know covering the moon would make Hyukjae so angry. Donghae made his way to his favorite spot, the clearing in the woods by the flowing brook. His silver tears dripped from his face, dropping onto the grass. Through his tears, he asked the kind darkness who were wiping his tears away by caressing his cheeks to pull away from the moon and make it shine even bright in apology to Hyukjae.
Once done, he wondered if Hyukjae still hated him for covering up the moon. The giggling fish within the brook told him to go find Hyukjae and see if the other would forgive him. Therefore, Donghae did as he was told and left to find Hyukjae once more.
However, the moment he got arrived at Hyukjae’s door, a voice boomed from the inside.
“Go away, Donghae,” The voice boomed, startling him. Hurt once again, Donghae quickly made a run for it again, choked up. The darkness around him reached for him; however, he pushed it all away.

Maniacal laughter echoed about the room as Heechul fell to the ground, clutching at his sides.
“Gods and goddesses, it hurts! That was too funny! Did you see his face?” Heechul laughed as Hyukjae stared at the god of trickery in shock.
“That was cruel, hyung,” Hyukjae replied, having found his voice again after a while. With that, he left the other who was smirking at him all too knowingly and ran after the heartbroken night god.

Donghae stared at the endless pit below him, filled with swirling mist. He knew that this was the pit to the deepest, darkest places of the earth - where monsters born of death and pain resided. This was the place gods and goddesses were sent to if they had committed an unforgivable, evil sin. Some also went here intentionally if they didn’t want to exist any longer.
All they had to do was jump, and they’d fall to the very bottom where the demons of the entire world would devour their magic and suck them dry of their immortality; therefore, making it so that they cease to exist.
His silver tears had stained his alabaster robes, and over the area where his heart had been - where there had been a platinum moon tattooed there, it had turned black with crimson in the center. Cracks traced the moon and what looked like blood dripped from the moon.
Above, the sky was dark and stormy with a full moon floating about in the sky. However, the moon was colored a pale crimson - appearing as though it was crying blood.
“DONGHAE!” The shout came a moment too late. Donghae had already stepped over the edge. A hand shot out and caught him at the wrist before he could plunge into the obsidian pit.
The lowly god looked up to see Hyukjae above him, eyes wide and panting hard. Sweat slowly slid down the sides of his face as he held onto Donghae’s wrist.
“H-Hyukjae…” Donghae whispered, silver tears bursting forth. Hyukjae couldn’t help but wonder how the pain within those tears could hurt him so badly, yet those silver tears on Donghae’s face against the soft, sky blue glow of his skin made him look so beautiful.
“W-what are you doing?” Hyukjae asked, slightly breathless.
“You…are you still angry with me?” Donghae asked instead, not answered Hyukjae’s question. The day god stared at Donghae with a question in his eyes.
“Why would I?” Hyukjae asked. He took a deep breath and exhaled shakily, “I-I love you, Donghae… I’ve loved you for a really long time.”
Donghae’s eyes widened in surprise as he stared up at Hyukjae, “W-what? But I thought you loved the moo-ah!” Without either of them realizing, Donghae’s hand had begun to slip. As Donghae slipped from Hyukjae’s grasp, Hyukjae lunged forward. He wrapped his arms around Donghae and pulled him close.
Hyukjae understood exactly what Donghae was going to say; therefore, as a cloud conjured by the kind darkness emerged to catch them, Hyukjae pulled Donghae closer and whispered, “Well then, you can be my moon.”
A/N: FIRST THINGS FIRST, THIS IS FOR MY LUFFLY UNNIE,
eiarim FOR MAKING ME A POSTER FOR DoN! THANK YOU SO MUCH~
And to explain this...It'sinspired by a game my little cousin was playing that goes by the same name. So, you see, in the game, there's a little animated picture of a girl rowing a boat in some water and a giant moon in the sky with a boy sitting on it against a night sky backdrop. The story is that the girl loves the boy, but the boy loves the moon. What you can do is take a "picture" of things and move them using the picture. You can move the boy, the girl, the moon, anything really. There are...I think...7 possible endings, and in this one-shot, I used four of the possible endings; however, I mixed two of them. One of the endings I used was when Donghae covered the moon with the kind darkness. That ending was called "Lost Love". Another ending that I used; however, didn't go through with, was "Tragedy". Then I combined two endings, "Such a Beautiful Sky" and "I Am Your Moon" for the fanfic's ending. Well, I hope you like it. And if you want to play the game, click
