A gasp escaped her lips as Robert nudged her elbow a little. Her blue pen slipped from her fingers, crashing against her desk. Her eyes could not believe what she was seeing. Standing at the front of the class was Tarian Creuset, the young man whom Robert had brought into her care a few days ago and left - but it couldn’t have been him.
“Alright, everyone, this is your new classmate, His Highness, Prince Surgei Nox.” Their magic teacher, Renaldo, announced. This announcement was met with shocked faces and whispers all around, especially from most of the girls in the classroom.
“Pleasure to meet you all.” It was then when hazel met pure blue once more.
She bit her lip and looked away from the new student. That surname shattered the illusion of the person she knew as Tarian. He had lied to her. Everyone had their classified information. But Tarian - no, it was Surgei - was a prince. She had housed royalty in her house for a day and didn’t know.
Clearly, Surgei did one hell of a job to keep his secret.
“Prince Nox, will you please take that seat behind Miss Cross?” Sir Renaldo instructed. Seira blinked, hearing the jealous whispers from the girls who had no clue of what the present event meant. Her gaze narrowed, wishing they would get to the actual schoolwork. She was missing it right about now.
“Miss Cross, can you raise-?” Sir Renaldo was then rudely interrupted.
Seira growled, forcing her left hand up into the air.
“There’s no need, Sir.” Surgei mumbled quietly. The other students watched in awe as the prince strutted to Seira’s desk near the back of the classmate, causing the said girl to shift her weight uncomfortably. Unlike the rest of them, only Robert and Surgei had noticed this little thing. She knew it and cursed the fact.
“Hello Lady Der Macht.” He whispered just for her to hear.
Damn him! The way he had spoken her title made her reserve slip, making her slightly blush. She saw him raise an eyebrow while he passed her and covered up her reaction. She said a few words only audible to him, “I never knew you were a prince due to your alias. I apologize for my rudeness and please, do not address me as such.”
Seira heard a smirk from behind her, causing a chill run down her spine. It was going to be such a long day.
