It wasn’t like he was abandoning Mikage’s memory. Teito knew that as he clutched his heart. It was because of Mikage --- if Mikage’s death hadn’t occurred, many things wouldn’t have happened. Teito wouldn’t be remaining in the Seventh District. He wouldn’t have Hakuren as a friend.
Mikage was his only friend back at the Academy, but that was the Military.
He was at the Barsburg Church now. He had Hakuren here, whom he first mistaken for Mikage. It was the blond hair. At that moment in time, Teito hated himself for it.
“Oi, brat.”
Teito felt something flat hit the top of his scalp. He made a face when he recognized the voice. He then figured he was hit by a book. It would make sense since it was Frau. Instantly, the young brunette boy with darkened green eyes scooted away from the blond, nontraditional Bishop. He didn’t want to know what kind of book he was hit with.
“Frau…” He replied. “I just want to think. Alone.”
There was a sigh and the book hit Teito’s head again.
Just great. A page slipped out from the binding and fell. Teito lowered his gaze. He did think about stuff for a while, but not anymore. He wanted to protect his friend, Hakuren and the reincarnation of Mikage, the little pink dragon. He was sure about that.
Frau cleared his throat. “If you’re thinking about running away, don’t.”
It was only then when he saw what was on the page. Teito’s eyes widened.
Frau had hit him with a porn book.
“CASTOR-SAN!”
Teito, with a horrified and partially disgusted look, bolted up and rushed to find the other Bishop who would always discipline Frau. The latter watched as his apprentice rushed off, smirking to himself.
Little did Teito know, that Frau saw a bit of himself in the boy.
