"yaay I'm finally can to see another bishies idols again... wait, wtf???"
.
Japan seems never really change with their bizzare creations, which is often made use baffled and having ????wtf?? reactions, So here I presents you with Sekkou Boys. Nothing in this series you can take seriously and also second short series I have reviewed where I can prove HOW THIS SHORT SERIES HAVE MORE FULL ENJOYNMENT COMPARE TO OTHER WINTER SERIES. So in short, I had wild fun ride.
The story focused on 22-year old fresh-graduated girl Ishimoto Miki (CV: Makino Yui) who just apply her job become manager of the group, the reason why she's planning to do so because she was basically trying to escape her trauma that related to the famous sculpture on her school days. Which is unfortunate for her, she's assigned to be idol manager of 4 SCULPTURES AGAIN. The fucking funny is they are the well-known sculpture in greek-roman culture such as Saint Giorgio (CV: Tomokazu Sugita) as the leader of the group, Mars (CV: Daisuke Ono), Hermes (CV: Fukuyama Jun), and Medici (CV: Tachibana Shinosuke). Apparently the director company is basically sick hiring human so they decide to do with sculpture instead (I'M LAUGHING SO HARD AT THIS PART). So in the end, the heroine had no escape route but have to deal with another fucking sculpture again. So yeah Rest. In. Peace Heroine.
Though okay, it is indeed just a introduce of the episode and I could say the comedy was still pretty much standard or not in a way would make me too much laughing either. It just make a lot of WTF reaction through the episodes because how ridiculous it is (in a good way) I mean really poor Miki though, since in her art school years she was like dealing with sculpture everyday while irl the art club also including some irl drawing basic of living things (plants, view, or even naked people!) Sculpture was pretty much, a dead thing that it was also had been done by sculpturor, which is may have more than works of art. Then again, trying to get too serious and make criticism in this series was ultimately big mistake.

Well, someone just not deserve to get the suffers.

So despite having Idol genre anime again, I can't help but I think I just saw more artistic aspects rather than music in the episodes. And I feel like I will be more fond of that since we have already bunch of music in other idols anime. Focusing on the bizzare comedy through sculpture which is I found a way realistic about japanese male idol (lmao), I'm looking foward for heroine to take care the boys!
SCORE: C+
