Fitz still doesn't know what to do with this place. He's solving this problem with extensive reading, trying to figure out what is happening, but it's not getting him anywhere. He's pacing back and forth in front of a table full of papers and books in the library, swearing quietly to himself and looking fiercer than normal. He's frustrated ( Read more... )

Sugar is writing at a nearby table, and she'll look up from her novel - it's not as embarassing as the first, almost finished one, and she doesn't mind writing it in a public place.

She gives him a patient smile, quill in hand, which she deposits dutifully into the ink pot.

"Then taking a small walk perhaps would ease your mind. Would it be very indiscreet to ask what you are researching?"
