I've asked mine, too. He is a rather private person, but very open-minded, as am I, and he didn't have any problems with the story and didn't sense anything feeling in the remotest like rape. But then, he, too, sees rape as something having to do with power, domination and taking advantage of someone who is not willing, as well as not having necessarily to include intercourse at all. He knows enough about fanfiction and has been read enough paragraphs and parts I shoved him under the nose that he knows the general situation around HG/SS, though. We both think that as this _is_ a FF and as it _is_ HG/SS, there is consent there per definitionem. As well, he is dreaming, but wouldn't react as he is if he wouldn't enjoy what is happening. And finally - and I hope you don't mind me saying this - the whole situation is so unrealistically absurd, with Hermione as a virgin acting like that, Snape forgetting to ward his door, and a pupil daring to act like this about a feared teacher at all, even if she fancies him a lot, that I'm quite content to read this as a fine, funny and entertaining piece of pure fantasy where you can do what you want. (argh, difficult to put that into words in English, sorry...)
I personally would object to such a situation happening in real life, but I make a distinction between fantasy and reality. I accept a lot of things to happen and to be acceptable in books, films and in fan-fiction, too - but it always depends where the material in question is available. Posted like it is on TPP, it's all right and I can enjoy the fun and the quirkiness of such a story, but I would object having a story like this posted on an archive without age-restriction, for example. But then, that's why you posted it on TPP, I suppose, didn't you?
What is puzzling and surprising me rather thoroughly, though, is that in fanfiction, and particularly on TPP, it seems to be much more of a problem when a situation like this occurs - as to be seen with the reactions in the reviews - contrary to so many situations when Hermione is brought into a situation where she is totally dependant from Snape, or Malfoy, or some Death Eater. I would have much more problems with similar situations, whether there is rape involved or not, were it not crystal clear that it is a work of fanfiction, too, and the author has good reasons for said situation (all the fics where rape is glorified aside, which is absoultey inacceptable for me even in fiction of any kind).
