First off, let me just welcome winter back to Wootown. It's cold and snowy and windy and I'm enjoying it for now.
Bryn, if you read this, call me you bastard.
Anyways, next year is shaping up to be quite an adventure. Jacquie and I have decided that we want to make 4 major trips in 2007:
January: Florida. Nothing too exciting here. Just relaxing and wasting a lot of money and looking at nice boobies and drinking etc. We've been the last two years and always enjoy it. Without family I'm sure it will be better in a lot of ways, although it's nice to go away with my family too. The only way this is going to happen is if I stop procrastinating and make some plans. So I should get on that.
March: Alaska. I'm trying to get accepted as a volunteer for the Iditarod. I've wanted to go to Alaska for about 10 years since I read my first book on it. If I can go and be involved in the race it will make it 10X better. I'm talking to a guy via e-mail who has volunteered before and he says it's amazing. Plus, it means free accomodations and some free food and a busy schedule. This is the trip I'm most excited for. Fingers crossed that it works out.
June: Utah. Jacquie wants to go to some kind of horse related event in June. I'm not sure what it is really but she's excited for it. I want to fuck with some Mormons. Also, this will bring me a little further west than I've ever been in the U.S. so that's cool. I also want to see if I can recognize any of the locations from SLC Punk!.
September: Nevada. Black Rock City. Burning Man. This is the one I think has the least chance of happening. It's another one I've been wanting to hit up for years. It's a cheap trip but it's also the sketchiest. Something tells me I might end up naked in the desert with the rest of the hippies and that frightens me. Jacquie is scared of the entire concept I think but she says she wants to go. We'll see I guess.
Anyways, this will obviously all be very expensive and there's an excellent chance only one or two will happen. Or none at all. But that would suck. Fragmented sentences.
This weekend, Waterloo potentially. Bryn, again, call me.
Later...
