Updates and whatnots...

So I move on Aug. 23. I am heading over to Western and Armitage to a big 3 bedroom apartment with my buddies Patrick and Andy. The rent will be slightly more but utilities and laundry will be cheaper so it balances out. Also we will be far enough away from Damen and North that I wont be disgusted coming home everyday by dick bike riders and and more bad tattoos than I can shake a stick at.

I don't need any help moving so all of you can stop thinking of excuses to avoid another move this summer. But I would like to pre-invite everyone to our housewarming which we think will take place the first Friday or Saturday of September.

I have been packing up all the junk and knick knacks around the place. I seriously don't know where or why I got so much crap. I am tossing more computer hardware, CDs, old papers and  random shit that I have not had a use for in the last 2 years of living on Ridge and Ardmore. I have some things that I will be selling on eBay once I move, but if I dont think I can get at least 30-40 bucks for it, I am pretty much tossing what I dont want at this point. Except for books. I feel it is a sin to throw away a book, text/school or not. By the way, anyone out there have my copy of Neuromancer? I still can't find it and its my favorite book. If I don't read it once a year I start hurting things.

I am still playing Age of Conan, and have gotten to lvl 60. It is a shame everyone gave up on it so early as I am having more fun questing in AoC than WoW. Most of the bugs are fixed and they are already doing class reassessment, which to give you all a frame of reference it wasn't until 10 months after the launch of WoW did they get around to doing their first which was for Hunters. Conquerors are getting lots of love next week, and soon the Dark Templars will get theirs. The only thing lacking are rl friends to play with.

Which brings me to WAR. Is anyone seriously going to give that a shot? It seems a little carebear, but the PVP is from what I hear far supprior to WoWs battlegounds. If people want to play I will put down AoC in a second. The open beta started today, and you dont have to buy the $100 collectors edition to get into it and the heads start(actual launch is Sept 18th I think), All you need to do is preorder the regular edition and you get sent a code to register and download the most recent build.

If no one is interested in actually playing WAR, what about Too Human? It looks kinda cool. Andy has a 360 so I will finally get to play GTA4 w everyone and whatever else I have been missing out on since Kyle moved and took his 360 from me, I played that thing more than he did!

Well other than that, I have been rendering new shots for my freelance and working on some effects. Kyle tipped me off to possible future positions at the Midway. I talked to the head of effect (through Steams chat of all places) and he gave me a bunch of stuff he wants me to complete. The problem is that with putting in ~45 hours a week at my current job (oh yeah my boss left and took two programmers with him, effectively cutting our work force in half), moving, and my freelance gig, I don't have much time or energy to work on anything else at the moment. All I can pray for is the patent gets sold so I can take some time off and work on whats important to me and my future and not always worrying about where I am.

If you are still reading this, thanks. I know its a long one but I haven't updated LJ or talked to most of the people who read it in what feels like forever.
