With no kitchen, the whole idea of having a CSA share is a bit different. At least we're in the part of the summer now where we don't have to cook most of the veggies we get.
So, on the kitchen front, here is how things stand:
- ceiling done, walls painted, center light in, 2 recessed lights in.
- need to do 4 recessed lights and touch up paint from tape pulls
- we discovered last night that one of the undersink wastewater pipes is outside of the cabinet area. Problem. Plumber is coming tomorrow to fix it.
- there's still one electrical outlet that needs to be moved but we are waiting until we get to the cabinet it goes to (for the oven) so that it goes in the right spot.
- Once the plumbing is finished we can put in the cabinets
- We had already purchased the granite but there is a possibility that our contractor (who does our electrical and plumbing) has a contact who can get it for us at a much lower price. We can cancel the granite order until the 28th of August so he is going to let us know if he can do it for less. That would be awesome.
I'm really excited that it all is starting to look so good. A friend was over last night and totally squee'd about the color, which made me feel so so so good about the color now. It's going to be pretty awesome.
