I once had a boyfriend who left me because of my terrible temper. It's so funny to think of that now. Nearly a decade later, I am a fairly calm person who is pleasant to be around. If I met the me of ten years ago, I'd probably tell her to chill out and get some help

I used to get both emotional and angry, two reactions that really made my ex husband mad.
I'm still emotional from time to time, but as I'm still taking antidepressants, can remain calm in situations that previously made me angry and frustrated. I hope to be able to manage the way I react without meds, someday!

I now have a reputation at work as someone who is totally unshakable, that nothing phases me or gets me angry.
I laugh, and say "It's all just smoke and mirrors... I should tell you about the time I got into a fistfight with the linebacker of the football team in HS...Most Violent Female of my senior class..."
I consider statement like that to be one of the highest complements to me, because it has taken a great deal of work on my part to train myself to be otherwise.
