I've recently bought some stuff from amazon.com. That place is amazing; so much stuff in this world is for sale, and I contributed to its distribution, haha.
More specifically, I bought the rest of my books for classes (four or so weeks into the semester) from some book vendors I found through the site. They're all in Spanish, in case you were wondering, which I'm sure you weren't.
In addition to those written things, I purchased two compact discs. One was a music CD of the group perhaps best known for their one (and probably only) hit Better Days... sample? This media embed thingy is weird... There will probably be a short commercial before the actual video.
Anyway, it's a totally random happenstance that I find myself liking their music. You can blame Ruckus for that. They give us free music legally, and it's awesome.
The other disc was a PC game that I'm sure many of you have heard of called Portal. It's just Portal; the other games of the Orange Box are not included. However, that won't be shipped directly to me here at Stockton. No, THAT will be going home, for some reason. I guess amazon.com is very anal about where certain stuff ends up? Whatever, it's not like I need yet another distraction from actual studying. I'm already quite deep into playing Painkiller (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/57-Painkiller) and am frustratingly distracted by the notpron riddle series.
I USED to be all the way up to level 31, but I lost my sheet of paper that had every level's name, URL, username and password neatly organized on it. So I had to start all over again. I breezed right through the first fifteen. Number 16 gave me some trouble, as I remember it doing when I tried solving it the first time. But now I'm on level 19.
Once I work my way back up to 31, I am stapling that sheet on paper to my leg so I always know where it is. That may hinder my hurdling performance as it begins to corrode and infect my bloodstream, but at least I won't be tortured with the riddles again that I painfully worked through legitimately the first time....
In any case, that's my media update. You're all looking at a small cross section of the daily stipulations that make up my life. For now, I'll just be chilling until the track meet tomorrow. We're going all the way up to Connecticut! Hoo-ray! We all have to wake up at about 5:15 to catch the bus at 6! Huzzah! I probably won't go to sleep until midnight or 1am, anyway... Gah, oh well.
