I put in my (mostly meaningless) vote for the Pride Exec Board, and made a final decision. Today was my last action regarding the organization.
I declare myself no longer a member of the GMU Pride Alliance. I vow never to set foot in the office again or to attend any of the meetings or events. I have no intention of ending friendships over this, but I hereby remove myself from all of the drama and bullshit.
It needs to be said, because if I don't commit to it I'll keep wandering back in and that's just stupid. What was once to me the only safe haven has become something else, tho not the fault of those I have on here. There's no point in continuously going back to a place which does me no good. If anyone wants something from me I'm not hard to find or reach.
Here's to a simpler life.
