I want to go to the movies, damn it!
Why is it that everytime I really wanted to see something the last year or so, the movie is never playing anywhere in my area?
I really want to see Pan's Labyrinth. I was intrigued when I saw the preview for it at the theaters, now after reading reviews (creepy, bloody, R rated dark fantasy, got to love it!) I want to see it. And not just rent it, this is something to watch on the big screen. I have about forty dollars in gift certificates to spend at the AMC theater that could potentially sit there for a long time since Hollywood stopped making movies I want to watch.
It seems this movie is playing in about three theaters nationwide. I have not yet found any indication that its set for a wider release at any point in the near or distant future.
Well, from what I hear its getting all around good reviews and everyone who has seen it so far has loved it, so let's hope that will eventually propel its distribution a little further out, or at least bring it to Baltimore.
Still, its sad. This movie looks really good, and you can't find it anywhere. And yet something like Code Name: The Cleaner gets a nationwide release. And who the hell would want to see a piece of shit like that?
