I just finished listening to his ADF rant on the Psycho Christian radio hour (ahem, I mean Way of the Master radio). Its hilarious how ignorant these assholes are, the way they managed to twist everything around to make it sound so evil and/or so empty.
I have to wonder what exactly they think they're accomplishing doing things like this. I mean you must assume that the actual goal here is to show us ignorant Pagans the light of truth and bring us back to Christianity to be saved, right? That's what they all say anyway. But who do they think they're winning over with an underhanded stunt like this? Do they think this is going to make any of us think twice about our theological stances? It just makes him look like a fucking asshole. You know I'm not a Christian because I don't believe there's any truth to their dogmatic positions and not for any other reason, but people like Kirk Cameron and those jackasses on the radio with him make me so proud not to be in that club and actions like this one will keep me from ever reconsidering that decision for even a second. I hope someone is looking into how legal what he did is, if not he should be sued.
For those of you on my friends list here who are not involved in ADF and maybe haven't seen this story spreading around on Livejournal, Kirk Cameron (that talentless waste of space from Growing Pains and more recently the not surprisingly direct to video Left Behind movies) and some other idiot attended an ADF Fall Equinox ritual in California with a hidden recording device, stayed for the ritual and then spoke with a whole bunch of people there who had no idea they were being recorded and then aired the whole thing on a radio program, bashing the whole religion and twisting around everything that happened, everything that was said to him (apparently the experience was quite "creepy", though I doubt its anywhere near as creepy as listening to the radio program was; I listened past the ADF segment and there was a point when the host was talking about how he shook hands with a Hindu man and then used that same hand to eat a sandwich and got sick and now he thinks he knows why, I honestly couldn't tell if he was joking or not and I suppose it really doesn't matter much either way).
It would be really funny if they weren't so clearly serious about it, all fired up in their ignorance. Sad, just sad.
