Well, I got through the weekend all right. The storm was unpleasant and there's snow everywhere now. I suppose I can't complain all that much, it hasn't snowed too much this winter, unlike last year where the storms kept coming and there was snow on the ground until late April. Still, let's hope that it for this year, I'm more than ready for this cold and miserable season to be over.
The Constant Gardener was a very, very good movie. I highly recommend it.
Searching around online today, I found out Three...Extremes is coming out at the end of the month. This is the only movie I was really dying to see this year and the only horror movie I've been really excited about in the last several years. Seems like every American horror film as of late has been PG-13, tame and violence free, something you can bring the kids to, and thus sucked dry of everything that makes horror fun to watch. I'm still holding out hope Hollywood will wake up and bring back the R rated horror movie (much like The Wedding Crashers is said to have revived the R rated comedy), but until then I'll keep browsing through the foreign film section. I've just recently discovered Asian cinema, just when I was despairing of ever seeing another new movie again. Here's hoping Three...Extremes is as good as it looks like it is.
I've also got quite a bit of work done on the things on my list. I should be able to post something soon.
