I'm on the fence about whether I want to see the Wolverine movie or not. I did like the first X-Men movie, the second one was better, and then there was the third ... yeah. And do I really want to give the series another chance after it so disappointed me? I just don't know.
Occasionally I troll the previews On Demand to see what is coming out. Mostly nothing notable, but a few bright points.
Mostly I'm looking forward to Inglorious Bastards. Quentin Tarentino does not disappoint me (well, there was Jackie Brown, which I didn't like all that much, but it also really wasn't his movie, he didn't write it, so I forgive him for it). He was half responsible for Grindhouse, probably the single best movie theater experience I have ever had in my life (shakes fist at country, damn you all!). I love his dialog and his eye for gore. That preview got my blood pumping, August can't get here fast enough. :-)
Then there is 9, which I'm intrigued by because it looks so fucking weird. I'm not a hundred percent sold on it yet (it is animated and I doubt its aimed at adults, which kills it for me usually, not always but often enough) but I'm keeping my eye on it.
Pandorum is one I just found today, which could either be entertaining sci-fi horror, or a total piece of shit. Invoking the Resident Evil movies doesn't say much to me, I was considerably less than thrilled with the first one and then there was the second, a complete trainwreck where absolutely nothing about it worked at all (and how often can we really say that?), how a third one was made after that piece of shit I have no idea but I don't ever want to see it. Difficult to say. But hey, maybe my mother will want to see it with me, after all Dennis Quiad and she does so love Dennis Quaid (I did somehow get her to watch Identity with me because oooh John Cusak, I practically had to peel her off the ceiling more than once she is that much of a wimp). :-D
Well, at least I know I'll go to the theaters once. And if everything else this year sucks, there are plenty of old movies I still have yet to see.
