The Trinity is Complete

So, I've been offline for the last two days. We have dial up here, and our phone line finally shit the bed. Its been bad for a while now, there would be this static on the line that's sometimes so loud you can barely hear the person you're talking to. Then two days ago, I wake up and the line is dead. Yesterday we finally got someone from the phone company to come out here and fix the problem, so hopefully this won't happen again.

Without the internet to browse through all night long, I got busy with my pantheon list and checked in with Persephone. Definite response, not quite as strong (or insane!) as my first meeting with Dionysos was, but it was certainly there.

During the divination, while shuffling through the cards, I stumbled a little and ended up dropping a card onto my lap. The message was about not being enslaved to customs. So while I do know that Persephone is one of my deities, it may be wise to spend some extra time in meditation with her figuring out exactly how she wants me to worship her, what that advice means if it means anything at all (could've just been my clumsiness, but its worth checking into just in case).

So I guess I have the trinity my original tarot reading said I was going to have. And now at least I know where to focus my energies.

I still have Apollo to check in with, which I was going to do yesterday but I couldn't get my cats to leave my room. Same room where I do my meditation is where my desk chair is that they all love so much to sit on (they've fought each other over that chair, must be something special about it), its such a pain to try and make them leave, and even if I succeed they'd just start knocking on my door and whining pathetically, thus ruining the mood anyway. So I'll do it sometime this weekend instead. The so far very accurate tarot reading had placed him as being peripheral to non existent. But I do have a relationship with Hermes and now Dionysos, and there is certainly plenty of evidence from modern practice to suggest that the three of them travel the world with their arms linked together, where goes one so go they all. So I may have some small working relationship with Apollo just because of that.

I suppose I now owe Dionysos a hymn. One in the same style as those ones I last wrote for Hermes and Persephone, so that way I'll have a set, one for each of my gods. Also going over ideas for essays, they're being written in my head (I never take notes, the first draft is usually in my head; it works for me). A new idea I had come up with after these recent events, is an essay about how one finds their gods and how things don't always end up the way you think they will; I know I didn't end up with the trinity I would've thought I'd have a few years ago, I'm sure I'm not the only one with a story like that. Hermes had indicated to me recently he wants me to get some writing done, so I probably shouldn't take too much longer to get started.
