heaven ain't close in a place like this
ND/MSU game. I went to ND for it. I cried during it. I got a horrendous sunburn before it. I ate Steak 'n Shake after it. That's about all. Oh, and I couldn't get drunk no matter how much I drank...I think it's because I was so exhausted from work. I spent some overtime money on a great sweatshirt from the bookstore though, so there is some happiness. Felicia and Leslie know how to throw a great tailgate. They are pretty much my heroes. And I got to finally hangout with the infamous Bobby. It was lovely.
I am "on call" for the next 2 weeks to assist at a hearing in NYC. This is really exciting, except for the fact that I am totally unqualified to be in that kind of position. I did my laundry tonight, organized my bills, and made a list of things I need to do in the next couple days (like get my suits dry-cleaned) so that I can be prepared to leave at a moment's notice. I feel bad when people mention this in front the two guys who also have the same title I do because they have never been asked. One of them has even been working there a year already, and I have been here...oh yeah...6 weeks, and this is the second hearing I've been assigned.
Side note, I HATE THE SMELL OF SMOKE. Someone is always smoking outside on the sidewalk and even 7 stories up, it still comes in my windows. GRRR.
