Back in Black
Well, not really in black, but whatever. Ok, this entry is going to be categorized. Ready?
JOBS: I never called back the recruiting people about the Headhunter job. Thanks zadgea6 though for your support. ;) I have an interview pending with Schopf & Wiess as a Litigation Assistant. I was also contacted by the American Bar Association's Justice Center regarding an interview for a Judicial Independence Coordinator position, so I am waiting to hear back from them with some dates. Finally! Progress!
FRIENDS: I spent a glorious day Sunday with Ann and then with Ann and Peter. Ann and I walked into downtown Bethesda and ate at CafeDeluxe. Then we window shopped and attempted to stop by Pete's soccer game, but decided against it at the last minute. Went back to the house and hung out with her fam, pete came over, and we managed to scrounge up a hilarious dinner. We made a pasta salad with basically whatever we found in the cabinets and fridge/freezer. And it was good! Haha, we were so proud of ourselves. Hope to see her again soon. Peggy is also a fab friend for sending me a care package to help me through the recovery period after the surgery! It had a crossword puzzle card, an etch a sketch, a swirly drawing tablet, a fluff magazine about celebrity drama, and lots of chocolate. What's not to like?! The NSLC people, Felicia in particular, will be arriving in a few days which is tres exciting. Hopefully I can go out with them to DREMOS (ahhhh!) on the 14th.
FAMILY: Having half the family away has been nice - not gonna lie. I miss Sean the most though because he is a hilarious kid. Yesterday my cousin Paul, his wife Sharon, and their two little girls came over to swim and have dinner. They were in town from Cleveland visiting friends here. Their friend and her newborn came over too, which was a little bizarre. Are we a hotel? A restaurant? We haven't even seen Paul and Sharon in at least 5 years. Oh well. It was a good time, and I cooked a delicious meal if I may say so myself! :)
