To Do lists

I love "To Do" lists. They take the anxiety out of my head and put it on paper. Once there, I have a clear plan for the day, week, etc. I cross things off as I do them so that I have evidence of how productive I am. Proof to myself (and others) that I am a worthy member of society. If I do something not on the list, I sometimes even add it after the fact so that I have a longer list of crossed off things. You can see where this is going - it's becoming kind of a sickness. I also save the lists for days or weeks after so that I can look back at everything I've accomplished. At this point, I think it's starting to hurt my anxiety more than help it.
