"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like 'it's better than yours' damn right it's better than yours...I could teach you, but I'd have to charge...lalalalala, etc."
That song is remarkably annoying when stuck in your head. Anyway, I have a casting report regarding the Beverly Hillbillies. For one, I got the part I wanted, so I'm officially Miss Hathaway. She's the perfect part for me. I mean, her first line is "What ho, mon capitaine!" It doesn't get any cooler than that my friends. But here's the break down:
Matt will deservedly be playing Jed; ditto Daniel as Granny. Heather H. as Elly May. Jethro will be played by Thom. Cassidy will be playing Mr. Drysdale, but if he screws up even once he'll be kicked out of the play (or so Mrs. E has told me). Danielle will play Mrs. Pennyweather, much to her chagrin. Whitney as Cousin Pearl. I would tell you the others, but I don't have the energy. We have funny actors though, so rehearsal shouldn't be too strenuous. It'll be a good show.
As for other news, I completely bullshitted my English assignment last night. I used the words "oppression," "dehumanization," and "savagery" at least ten times in the space of a few paragraphs. With Heart of Darkness, those are about the only words that apply. Saw "Mean Girls" today. Fun. It could've been worse, but it was a little too far-fetched. It's funny how movies that try to emulate high school always end up far-fetched in some way or another. Anyway, it's a'ight. Today was arduous because I didn't sleep well and the day just seemed to languish on torturously. The most momentous part of the day was seeing someone cry (and no, I won't disclose who, but if you knew you'd understand why it was a big deal). A bad moment, eh? It's sad how people ignore each other in the face of sadness. I'm not sure I was the only one who noticed, but I was the only one who tried to comfort her. High school just sucks sometimes. But on the whole, life could always be worse. We had several close misses this week. There was the earthquake today, and the asteroid will fly by us tomorrow afternoon, so we're actually quite lucky. Even luckier that we live on the West Coast right now. Am I evil to wonder if the hurricanes are God's retribution for the election fiasco in Florida? Hm. Well, I'll update later. Rehearsals will start soon, so I won't have a lot of time to do so. I love you all and hope you're happy...seriously. Bye.
