Ye goode olde lamentin' session

This week has been utterly miserable, purely because of the wind-chill factor and the state of my anatomical self. It's just been a very long and frustrating week yielding little respite. I come home exhausted and drained and unable to get anything done quickly. Sleep is only a temporary solace. Oh, I'm just a little out of sorts. Not a big deal nor anything new to any of you. Meep.

Sadly, the high points of my day were in Algebra and Physics today. I learned the real reason why any number to the zero-power is equal to one and in physics I actually knew what the fuck I was doing, so that was exciting. Oh, we're reading Macdeath in English now. As with all literature, my teacher is attempting to destroy it. I feel sorry for her. It's like she's trying to draw blood from a turnip with our class. Still, reading the play out loud has been a plus. Except our new Macbeth can't read...well, he can't pronounce certain words. Iris is the best Lady Macbeth ever. I've played a witch and Macduff thus far, and I plan to claim Macduff for the remainder. That guy's got it going on in a very Shakespearean way. But in this act, I'm playing Hecate. Sweet victory!

In other literary pursuits, I've been reading Anne Sexton's poetry and I've also started on The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-moon Marigolds. Both are very interesting. Now, to find the time to read. I still haven't finished the book Mrs. Donohue lent me forever ago. Damn. So many books, so little time.
