DC wrap up for Hero
Pan up on Chloe's desk - we see her name plate. In a light grey suit, red shirt under. Looks worried/conemplative.
Pete: I always knew the Torch would light the big league.
Pan up on Pete, darker grey hoodie, green shirt, wrist strap thing.
Chloe: Pete! Hey! (they hug) It's so good to see you!
Pete sighs.
Chloe: *pulls out of hug* Don't be too impressed though, I just went from being a big fish in a small pond to a minnow in the Atlantic.
Pete: (some kind of head gesture). Well, I for one, have read all your stories and *gestures to the DP* somethings change and some things *gestures to Chloe* always remain the same.
Chloe: *grins and then goes to her desk* I couldn't agree MORE. I'm actually in the process of mopping up Lex Luthor's daily carnage as we speak.
Pete: *admiring name plate* Now there is a name I don't miss.
Chloe: *angry* He's playing Big Brother on ALL of the computers at the Daily Planet. All my work is under HIS cyber lock and key.
Pete: Well, can't you just work some of your virtual cyber-voodoo and get 'em back?
Chloe: Short of him recieving a direct hit from a massive virus, I'm afraid all of the files are forever in the clutches of Citizen Lex.
Pete: *looks behind her* Maybe I can give him something else to focus on. *chomping away on his gum*
Cut shot to Chloe with rose over her shoulder. Cut back to Pete. Cut to side shot with Pete's arm going and getting it and Chloe looking SHOCKED.
Pete: Cool, huh? *hands her the flower*
Chloe: Actually... yeah. (freaked/sad). Uh, *comes around to lead him to pressumably the copy room* Come here. You don't want Lex or anyone else seeing you can do that.
Pete: Come on Chloe, don't tell me Clark has you running scared because of his secret too.
Chloe: Okay, I know you don't mean that, because this isn't about Clark. [her shirt seems to have pink and purple circles on it?]
Pete: Isn't it? *big pause* I mean, I remember what it was like covering for him. Always having to watch what you had to say, lying... to you. *Chloe gives a guilty look* Making someone keep a secret like that Chloe... *Chloe has a sad look* All it does is hurt people.
Chloe: *walking again now in two shot, Chloe is freaked* Well sometimes you don't have another choice.
Pete: Yes, you DO. And for once, I'm GLAD not to be following Clark's footsteps. *Chloe keeps walking and he turns her around* No secrets, Chloe. Put it on the front page. I want people to know.
Chloe: Okay Pete, I get the whole "Reach for the Stars" mentality, and right now you actually *could* reach a few of those stars, but what about all the meteor infected people who appreciate their privacy?
Pete: They want to keep living a lie, that's their problem.
Chloe: *giving disappointed look*
Pete: *sees Lex walking through the DP - black suit, purple shirt* Maybe it's time for everyone to realize that a real hero doesn't hide in the shadows. Excuse me. *pete walks past a worried Chloe who goes back to her desk, and out towards the Elevators where Lex is waiting where he steals Lex's wallet, pulling out some kind of swipe card - Lex's DP swipe card and starts grinning and chomping*
