So I've been experimenting in reviews a bit here lately so let's see here...

Se start off with new Talon shot, thatis actually really pretty. Chloe is sitting inside in purple, and Jimmy is in blue; there is coffee and muffins. Chloe is a chocoholic? Oh hai LnC. If you notice behind Jimmy (all burred out) is the Princess/Knight in Cape stained glass. Jimmy gets Chloe tickets to Snow Patrol and Chloe drops a line aobut Piggy Banks. Jimmy is very sweet about saying that Chloe is worth it.

Little aside here, well two things. (1) I still feel [and I think this episode rather confirms] that Chimmy is very Clana in nature. First love, first big adult relationship, met in high school, but not without issues including the Chloe-Clark friendship and not being fully forthright. So one of the things Jimmy's line reminds me of is Hypnotic (it probably doesn't hurt that Chloe's got her hypnotic earings on) when Clana 'ran out of quarters'. Jimmy just spent all his savings up - and it's obviously not enough. (2) Oracle; it set up the trend that the boys need to save up for their girls; we know Clark is saving more in his piggybank than whatever it takes for Lana and he's going to end up with something better than he ever expected. Jimmy cracked his piggybank, but Clark is still saving -- to get a girl that is worth saving for? That you have to wait to have enough saved up for?

I feel almost like there as a cut line in this scene, but it's interesting to see how well they actually did recast the girl who played Sasha. Jimmy pulls a Pete with the 'whole distant thing' (remember how often Pete said that in S1?) as Reporter Chloe kicks on. Once again Chloe is all about following leads in to deep dark places, and it's interesting that Chloe's keeping tabs on Belle Reve there. Not surprizing, but interesting. What is also interesting is Chloe carrying around mace; I miss her stun gun, but mace is good. Armed but not leathal. Oh poor Sasha. And I really love how they are continually pulling from past seasons (though this is much better than a full on ripp off like last week).

Poor nice Sasha now gets kidnapped by Curtis Knox aka DEAN CAIN and it is made of win. I do have to laugh that he's using ether like OLD time villians rather than any better anesthetic. Cracks me up.

Lana is making pancakes in a skillet? WTF? We always make them on a griddle. Someone explain please. Lana is ranked with Bobby Flay and Rachel Ray - two of the most annoying Food Network people out there easilly (and I don't even mind RR, but she can bug). The fact that Lana is making *pancakes* is hilarious. And Lana breaks out her first lie of the evening, to a degree; as long as there were secrets it couldn't happen? Yeah but whose fault was that LANA LANG? Clark pulls another Hypnotic with speeding around for the girl (Lana has no necklace on right now but that's her trade mark stuff.) Kara's sisterly admonishing? GOD. I LOVE THEM. I love them.

Manhunter and Kara! Manhunter bullied her? That I guess goes into their don't ask, don't tell Phantom Zoning of people? I really think/wonder if Zor-El and Jor-El are going to be pulled more and more directly from Loeb's Supergirl run. Both Kara and Manhunter tell Clark to watch himself around the other one. So we know Zor-El put an attempted hit out on Jor-El or that is just how it looks.... I still wonder if they are setting Jor-El up as half evil.

Lana finds out Manhuter is from Mars. She gives the same Krypton line and look as last week which people assumed was expecting but given Manhunters look back at her, and the Mars correction? She's completely grossed out. Total Xenophobe. Who ran away. And everyone noticed it! That's funny.

I like how they are playing with how they are doing superhearing; and mixing and matching the scenes here. Clark loves his cousin, awh! She is being blamed for her father? What about the fact that she got on well with Lara? Something is up - again I think this crystal is totally the way to bring in that current Loebian storyline.

Luthor manor: Lex vs. Knox! We've seen this scene. For someone who is immortal, Knox is fixated on time. Lex is so playing the fake good guy. They break it down nicely here. (1) Cures come from neurosurgery. (2) Memory wipes are done by Lex after. (3) Knox is taking organ meteor counts. The memory loss is only for the 33.1 patiences (Sasha was in 33.1 for SIX YEARS, DUDE LEX. I wonder if he inherented her from Lionel?)

Knox in his room? Oh Hai Teri Hatcher. Knox "found another piece of the puzzle." Interesting. The music and the old style butcher's apron make it even MORE creepy. So creepy.

DP: Jimmy doesn't like Chloe putting her job first? After last week when he encouraged her to after them? Huh. Clark zips in, and immediately goes to work. And while I like her establishing some boundires I feel like maybe this can start to be a step forward of Clark himself starts digging around. We've seen it happen more and more when Chloe is in trouble, and we saw it with the Zoners to a degree too; the only thing is his natural inclination is to go to Chloe to/for help. He works as partners on it all and she blows him off (Fly solo, full dance card) and I love his "Wait she doesn't want to help? Something is WRONG! She didn't even say good bye!"

Chloe goes to see Knox, and ooh commercial break.

Kent Farm: Lana is spying on Lex. Chloe is being a workaholic. Lana's playing it off as helping people, but I seriously wonder if they are going to kick her xenophobia into over drive, as well as her facsination with Lex. (also how interesting that he goes to Lana second, and that ED isn't in this ep at all?) "Headline could change Chloe's life." Yes it could.

DP: Jimmy just realizes how bad "Ring that Bell...there it is" is. Poor thing. EDlo is on the celeberity beat (hello Cat Grant). Jimmy thinks she's joking. Kara the flirt. Kimmy is pretty cute, and it's a bit Whitana/Clark or Clana/Lex. Jimmy is confused for once about hotties going after him.

Chloe at the Talon: Clark shows up and asks about the article and it's clear he's figured it all out and is worried. Clark calls her out as a "good liar" but she can't lie to him. This scene is so sad. Chloe talks about her only hope, and owwww. Clark's afraid of brainsurgery on her head, and wanting a normal life, and what Clark is missing is that it's normal for Clark to have his powers and it's not normal for the meteor infected to have theirs; no wonder so many of them freak out or feel violated by them. Chloe gives off a run down of things that could happen to her that we've actually seen dealt with on the show going evil, crazy, or dying; we've seen the show rule all of these out prior. They bring up memory loss (which we know already isn't really on the table) and I think this episode clears it away too.

Really interesting line is that Chloe will give up some of her past for a future; she's okay with this. She's assuming her memories, but as I said, I don't think weh'll loose them. Clark pretty much outlines all the reasons why a total series reset button sucks - she'll forget EVERYTHING, her friends (relationships), her experiences (all that journalistic learning curve), and him. Which the way that was delievered is really heart breaking. Clark can't accept a world where she's dead, can't handle if she dies, but I think now he's starting to think broader - he can't stand her trying to forget HIM or go on without him as if he wasn't real. AWH. OWWIE. I like the finality of the repetition too, the first time he says it it's like a wake up call of pain, but the second time is "And as my final point that should change your mind: me." *pets him*

Chloe tries to reassure him that she won't be alone when she wakes up becaue there will be people to explain it all (like she has done for him and others so many time son this show) and the 'let me go' so she can be saved, and come back to him okay is left unspoken but there. Clark has a hard time letting go though, obviously.

Smalville Fertilizer Plant: Knox is dumping Sasha. Lex is there; this is how Knox gets rid of bodies. I love Knox giving him a lecture aobut Lex playing God. Lex is totally embracing his Seigeth side. Knox points out that Lex owes him, and points out that he's done more of Lex and thus is justified. Knox is shot, and pulls a Claire. Or is he pulling a Vandal Savage? I love the "Son of a bitch" line. Lex is like What THE FUCK. Nice crack to the head, Knox. Clark saves Lex and electrocutes Knox for a bit.

DP: Jimmy is actually kind of adorable here. Chinese food that is singnaling the end of Chimmy. Kara is seriously adorable here. Jimmy looks at the ships and knows her well enough to know she'd love it; but Kara is covering her butt. She doesn't want Clark to know, and she knows Chloe well enough to know that Clark would find out eventually. (And this is why I feel that Kara and Fierce's editting issues make the show a weaker show, we need more set up.) They just pulled a total Clexana. Kara is a bit clueless I think, and Jimmy feels totally dumb. He is. Chloe tells him goodbye and throws the note in the trash; pretty symbolic and negating of what was said on it.

Lex is in the hospital with another head wound. Clark is sitting there like a creepy stalker. Clex have a pretty good run down (Hai Michael's arm!) and it's interesting - Clark is pretty much admitting about being super. Nice run down about evil, evil Lana. So now Clark knows aobut the money.

Chloe and Knox. The concentration of her infection is in her heart; Lex's is in his blood. Chloe is "truly one of a kind." Chloe puts the pieces of the puzzle together pretty quickly...and I think Dean inavertantly grabbed boob. Jimmy is freaking out about their relationship. Clark is desperate to find her. Jimmy really doesn't know anything at all about what is going on does he? He's assuming it's all about Kara. Clark of course knows more. Jimmy tired to rescue his relationship from the garbage bin Chloe dumped it in, but yeah that's pretty much it. I love that calling him CK has become okay now. lol.

Knox and Chloe; Oh Hai Teri Hatcher. Because of Chloe his love will last forever? Are they implying that Chloe will have some kind of increased longevity? (It would be oddly fitting if Chlois happens to have a Lex Luthor who can't really be beaten down for long [lex's powers], Clark Kent/Superman who is practically immortal, and a Lois Lane who has a slowed down aging issue.) It's not my favorite take, but it is interesting and a way to even them all out I suppose.

I like how they used the watch too. This feels a bit Thirst like, with the team up. Mercy too. The reveal here looks a bit how they did it in Redux but thankfully he's not a youth eater. lol. Knox and Chloe: Chloe is willing to risk curing as to not die. She's using logic pointing out that how Knox is running things is creepy and not how eternal love works. Chloe is asked about true love, and admits that there is someone she wants to see again (note I do not think it's Jimmy); Knox backs it up with his school girl scrush comment -- IE something lasthing for her a long time, but means little to him. Knox says Chloe can't say goodbye which of course means she won't have to -- she's not dying. She tries one last ditch effort and the best line of the night!

"I was Jack the Ripper."

EEEEEEEEEEEE. I don't know why but that is SO DAMN COOL.

Clark finds her the minute she starts screaming, which si funny timing. Did they alter Dean's voice? Knox and Clark are being constrasted here, and Knox screws himself. The fight was good, and Chloe frees herself, to then go back and save Clark. They share releaved glasses. Oh Bai Teri Hatcher. See? Dean is so amazing. I want him to return. SO GOOD.

Farm: Clark is fixing his tractor, and S1 nice Lana is found (that pic is from the Pilot!) But she's not that girl anymore. Manhunter took care of Knox; and I don't quite trust the not knowing here. Where is he taking them? Clark admits he put Chloe over the crystal. Zor-El is a trator? Kara we need more information. See they keep asking Clark to make choices when he has NO information. Bai Kara, come back soon.

Kent Farm: Lana's a liar! They note Chloe's resilency, and Lana paints Lex as a big fat liar. And lies SO much. SO SO much. And I think Clark knows it too.

Lana with her pink chairs and her Lex surrevelince is pretty cool. (I love having the music budget back.)

DP: Chimmy break up and it's actually sort of sad. They met on the 4th of July? (Fireworks!) Their actual first date was only a few weeks ago? (Couldn't they of manipped better?) Jimmy is in brown now even though she was in purple both times. Photos of memories, and the glass - which Jimmy took as one sign but he's right about the fluke-- because Clark saving her made it crack. And Chimmy broke up. And really it's Chloe here -- Jimmy wanted and waited for her to FIGHT for the relationship. And she let him hang himself.

Teh End!

ETA: Uhm Jimmy? The earthquake was last *spring*.
