I leave for CA on Saturday. The bar exam is Tuesday through Thursday but afterwards it will be all fun. I am going to make a trip to SoCal (woo woo!) and hang out with family in the Bay Area for a bit. And of course, I am going to hang with Little Dude. I plan to take him swimming. =)
I saw The Dark Knight and quite enjoyed it. It gave a lot to think about afterwards. But seriously, I am so tired of all the Heath buzz and the Oscar train. God forbid anyone actually disagree with all lovers of the movie and/or Heath's Joker. One movie critic even received lots of hate mail because of his review..which is ridiculous since movie critics are hired to criticize. To be honest, the part of the movie that most surprised me and left me most satisfied was
I was not prepared to get the entire Harvey Dent/Two-Face storyline. I definitely didn't expect to the movie to be about the chess match Batman and the Joker were having over Harvey's soul. And I certainly wasn't prepared to LIKE Harvey. I didn't want him to turn bad. :( And yes, Heath was great as the Joker. Yes, his character was completely psychotic and scary. Yes, most movie-goers are immediately attracted to that sort of thing. But for me, the heart of the movie was Harvey. So I give props to Aaron! And Chris Nolan!
I saw Mamma Mia tonight. It was strange. I think I liked it. It is just so strange seeing the antics of that particular musical on a big screen. I wasn't really sure what to think...lol. But I did love Colin Firth in it. And I did really love some parts. It was fun.
When I get back to NY, I am going to have to catch up on my museum visits. I am extremely behind and my fancy pass only works through August!
