Recently...
On May 16, 2008 I graduated USF with a BA. woohoo? But despite the overly trite and cliche valedictory speech, it wasn't too bad. I don't think I've been happier than the moment I walked across and shook hands with the smelly old man. Everyone I really wanted to be there was--with the exception of my mom who I missed terribly. Afterwards, the fambam and I ventured to Hayes Valley to have lunch at Modern Tea. YUM. Te days since then have been kind of blaah. My grandfather in India has been really sick lately and had to have open-heart surgery to have a quad-bypass and a valve replacement. yikes. He was supposed to come to the US for my graduation and couldn't. :( So now I have been summoned to India for two dreadful weeks of boredom. I leave in a week. I hate just sitting around and doing nothing. All I've been doing lately is going and getting coffee with the bazillion people that are still in SF. Just sitting here, getting high off caff and spending money I don't have. I want to start job hunting all ready yeesh. Well other than that, I have been doing research with a professor at USF and one of the other girls dropped out so that means double work for me!! I have a boyfriend, who after 4 months I'm starting to see the reason--why I didn't want to date him in the first place, but am giving him a try--qualities surface and yuck. I should talk to him. Yeaahh and at some point I will start studying for the GRE's which I hope to take in September. Then grad school apps and hopefully a job by then. Well that's it for me---what's new with you??
