My college life update...
Yes, I have been at college for the past 3 days without updating my journal. I am a terrible person. But I have an excuse! Our internet has been working only intermittently. Anyway, I've been having a lot of fun meeting a ton of different people and getting my room all set up. My roommate and I are getting along really well, and have named our room the "Rainbow Room" because of the insane amount of bright colors in it. We are almost done decorating, except that our TV is still sitting on the floor by my desk, but I think that is going to change today. When we get all our stuff finished, I will post pictures of the room and the roommate. All the people on our hall are really nice, although our ratio is a little skewed compared to the population of the rest of the school--we have 8 girls and 24 guys on our hall. A lot of people haven't moved in yet, but I'm assuming they'll all be here soon. We've been having little get to know each other activities each night, which have been interesting and fun. I was on the front page of the local section of the Gainesville Sun on my second day in Florida. Hell yeah. Okay, I'm going to go eat some Cheerios in my room because my meal plan has yet to be activated and I am experiencing what it feels like to be a starving college student.
