A real journal entry

I figured I needed to put in a real update instead of just pumping out humor to help everyone make it through the day.  So what's going on in my little world... hmmm...

Well for starters, I'm totally pumped about having my website talked about in the June issue of Shutterbug magazine.  And the author wants to use some of my infrared photos for a photography book he's putting together.  As soon as Shutterbug adds the June issue to their site, I'll link to the article on my site.  I also got a request to do a local TV program showcasing local talent.  But honestly (and to GW's disappointment) I'm too shy to do something like that. Although its gotten me thinking about the big art festival that Chattanooga has each year in May.  They usually pick a few starting artist and set them up to show and sell their work.  Only problem is that it conflicts with the Tn Ren Fest and the faire wins out completely.

I've started having fun with my cell phone.  I found the cable and software to connect it to my computer.  Now I don't have to buy ringtones for it.  I've already put 3 or 4 Family Guy audio clip into it for ringtones.  Plus  I can get the photo from the camera in the phone without paying to send them to my email.  Not that I ever really use the camera in it anyway.  But its nice to be able to get around Verizon's lock down so that you have to buy their services.  I just don't think its right for a company to limit the functionality of a phone you pay for just so they can force you to "buy" it back through their services.

Anything else...  nothing exciting.  Decided to go to the doctor yesterday to make some changes to a prescription I take.  I take an anti-anxiety med to help me avoid an unusual type of headache I get called a cluster headache.  Unfortunately, the anti-anxiety stuff also has increased my appetite.  Since I went to a lot of trouble to lose weight a couple of years ago I don't intend to let it all come back.  Some of it has already creeped on to my waist as it is.  So what did he do... give me another med to counter the increased appetite.  Geez.

Well I guess that's all for today.  We now return you to your regularly scheduled journal.
