Sam Winchester had to pee. It wasn’t so bad yet that it was unbearable, but it was bad enough so that he could feel it, and, normally, at this point he would have been running to the bathroom-but that was normally. At the moment, he was trapped beneath a sleeping blonde, and the movie that they-well, now it was just he-were watching was just at the best part. So, he had resigned himself to holding it in until his girlfriend woke up. Or the movie was over. Whichever came first.
He glanced down at Rose, letting out a slight laugh at how the situation was completely reversed from the usual-normally, it was him sleeping while Rose found ways to entertain herself until he woke up. She didn’t sleep nearly as much as she should, he thought, and he wasn’t going to wake her up on the rare occasion that she did (and the even rarer occasion that he was actually privy to the sleeping).
That was, until Rose let out a barely audible whimper, and her entire body shuddered. Her fingers clenched in his shirt, and when Sam saw a troubled look cross her face, he decided to wake her up. He shook her gently, whispering her name. “Rose. Rose, wake up.”
“What?” Came the sleepy response, and Rose blinked her eyes open, starting slightly when she realized where she was and what she was doing. “....did I, um...“
Sam nodded, giving her a slight smile. “It’s fine, though, unless you want to-“
“Not really,” Rose said, sighing, and dropping her head back onto his chest. “Thanks for waking me up, though.” She turned her attention back to the movie. “How much did I miss? Last I checked, her hair wasn’t blue.”
Sam knew better than to keep going, and turned his attention to the movie, as well. “I dunno,” he said, looking at the clock, even though the clock didn’t have any answers. “Maybe half an hour? ....actually, more like a full hour.”
Rose propped her head up on his chest, looking directly at him. “An hour? Oh, Sam, I’m sorry. Legs fall asleep yet?” She stuck her tongue out at him, before leaning forward to give him a quick kiss.
“Nah, I kept my toes moving,” Sam grinned, leaning down to kiss her again. “You know what, though?”
“I just woke up,” Rose said, groaning, swatting his arm playfully. “I don’t really know much at the moment.”
Sam winked, catching her hand. “Good point. I know better than to ask questions.” He squeezed her hand before letting it go, laughing when she swatted at him again. “Anyway, if you don’t mind? I’ve got to go to the bathroom.”
Rose let out a yawn as she moved off of him, lying back down on the couch when he got up. “And here I though I was going to get a heartfelt and romantic confession. Shame, that.” She grinned at Sam, as he walked off. “Better hurry up, though, before I fall asleep and you’re forced to sit on the floor.”
