The plunge off the cliff.
I left you all with a cliffhanger, and now it might be time to let go. Basically, I was crushing pretty hard on this one girl in my class. Good, little Jewish girl from Long Island (mom and dad were proud when they heard). Yesterday, I finally gathered up the stones to ask her to join my friends and I for trivia next week. She said "Sounds like fun. Sure!" Hooray... not really.
Today during class I had felt like she was particularly friendly, apologizing for having brushed me off the day before because she was on the phone. Basically, long story short, I can misinterpret a lot as flirting and my heartstrings were getting tugged up until the point when she pulled out the scissors labeled, "My Boyfriend." ARGH!!!! Talk about a kick in the gut. Here I was all excited and boom! Boyfriend card.
Well, we're still on for trivia as far as I can tell. Couldn't hurt to get to know her better. In some ways I do want to try and steal her away from her boyfriend, but I know that's wrong. We'll see how things play out. In the meantime, I'm getting ready for bed. I'll probably post again tomorrow.
