It's all coming to an end...

So here's the grand update. It won't actually be all that grand, but here we go:

- I had my senior recital about 2 weeks ago. It went... ok. I've never been so nervous on stage in my life. It was truly weird because I walked out on stage with no issues, but as soon as the mouthpiece hit my lips it all froze up. My mouth got ridiculously dry and things started going awry. I was told continously that I wore my mistakes on my face, which is somethings I couldn't help without someone mentioning it as it happened. I turned funny colors, and thought it was becoming a disaster, but after watching the DVD, it really wasn't quite as bad as I expected. All in all though, it was a lot of fun. I love hanging out with my family, no matter how stressful they can be on occassion, and to have so many of my friends there in support was truly fantastic.

-This past weekend I got 6 hours of sleep. Total. There are Spanish exchange students in town (they leave Thursday) and I was supposed to be their driver. My spanish is still pretty rusty since the last time I studied it (Sophomore year of high school) but it was fun trying to communicate with them. They were pretty awesome. We went to the symphony and had amazing seats behind the orchestra. I got to watch the conductor and all of his expressions and mannerisms and it really was an inspiring moment/view. We went to a few parties throughout the weekend and it was fantastic... until Sunday when I was physically and mentally exhausted. I had to wake up for an 8am Easter service (No, I didn't convert... I was hired to play horn) and my thoughts were actually en Español. I kid you not, when I was talking to my mother on the phone it was a struggle to actually speak english.

-Yesterday, my thoughts finally crept back into English (hooray) and I had my final real French Horn lesson with Leslie. Its kind of weird to think about. By my last real lesson, I mean she had assigned me something to work on. It was really relaxed, we talked a lot, joked around and well... it almost feels like I'm done. None of my classes are ready to end yet though... and I have papers due, but the end is so close.

This is the last full week of my undergrad. Bizarre.

Adios.

P.S.: Leslie is a fan of House, thus she's even cooler.
