Why does this feel like a repeat of last year!? Last year was more significant because it would be the first time I wasn't going to return home for 10 more months of being with my friends and family in Maplewood. Still I find it a little difficult to leave this place.
Quick update because I've still got a bit more packing to do. Friday, I went into the city on Friday with Dana and a bunch of other camp folk. That was fun. We got sung to by a subway pirate. Really it was just a homeless guy with an eyepatch, but he sang "Ain't Too Proud to Beg." We also saw one of those pedicabs from central park run over a jogger. That's apparently a more rare sight. The jogger was shaken up and had a large swollen knee, but all in all it was one of those situations where you laugh before and after you worry. Then I came home to lifeguard a project graduation. That was fun until around 4:30 when me and the other lifeguards just wanted to leave. They let us off earlier than normal, but my car was trapped in by the buses so I didn't get to leave until around 6:00.
Saturday, I slept until around 2:30 because I didn't get in until around 6:15. I then went to help with the Kids that Care Fun Fair which my sister was putting on, but really I just wanted to get back home and sleep a little more. So I did. And then we went to the Holechek's for a celebratory barbeque (that the Fair was dne) where I drank my first beer in my parent's presence. Awkward.
Sunday, woke up, got the car washed, did minor errands with the folks, went to the grandparents, came back, packed.
Now for the fun part. If you've ever read my camp posts before you know that I'm about to post my address and beg for letters. Please send me mail. I really appreciate it and I will write back. Here's my address (cabin # to come later):

Well, that's about it I guess. Have a great summer. I'll try to keep updating and I'll try to keep my computer away from fire extinguishers this year.
Adios.
