Harry Potter Thirty Day Meme! - Days One to Four.
Hey you guys.
So, my computer broke. Yes, again. However, it turns out that my parents were planning on getting me a new computer as a reward for getting good GCSE results (even though I haven't got them back yet, but y'know.)
So yeah, NEW COMPUTER! With Windows 7, and a ton of memory, and a rather snazzy graphics card, and other snazzy things!
So instead of reinstalling all my games, looking for CC, refilling iTunes, catching up on stories and all that important stuff, I'll do the first meme on my friends page to celebrate! WOO IRRESPONSIBILITY!
Also, I'll be doing the firts four days to catch up to Jules, 'cause I'm impatient.
So onto the meme!
Day One: Your Favourite Book

Oh Goblet of Fire, how I love you and your lovable ways.
Firstly, character development! This is the book where (I believe) JK Rowling's writing style changed slightly, to suit the 'older audience'.
I like the general plot.
VOLDEMORT RETURNS!!!111!
It's the beginning of the 'main plot', methinks.
It's the first (and last) book where a certain character is at least bearable.
Day Two: Your Favourite Movie
Pretty much entirely for Evanna Lynch's portrayal of Luna and Bonnie Tyler's portrayal of Ginny. Actually, the actor's in general. Everyone did an amazing job, methinks.
Plus, the special effects were delicious.
Day Three: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.
Prisoner of Azkaban.
Seriously?! What happened to the whole Marauder back story? The fact that Harry's patronus is a stag? Hell, even Lupin's and Sirius' friendship made no sense with the information the film provided.
On the other hand, I loved prefer the film's version of the Ridikulus spell. Much more ~~satisfying.
Day Four: Your Least Favourite Female Character
Oh boy, here we go...
I don't think I can do my hatred of this character justice. Well, I'll try.
In Chamber of Secrets, she wasn't a character - she was a plot item with lines. The blame for almost returning Riddle and wiping Lockhart's memory and all the other happy consequences lies on her shoulders.
Then there's the fact that, in all honesty, she's a Sue. She's as brave as Harry, smarter than an average Ravenclaw, more loyal than a Hufflepuff as awesome as a Slytherin, the best Quidditch player in the school and a sudden love interest. Really, where did Harry/Ginny come from? I could easily find more 'hints' for something like Hermione/Remus.
Which also bring me to another (rather unfair, to be honest) reason why I hate Ginny.
STORYTIEM!
Back in '05, elevenyearold!Chip discovered the internet and fandom and all that. i was quick to jump into the Harry Potter community, reading fics, writing terrible fanfiction and making friends. Unfortunately, I also got deeply into shipping wars.
Like, seriously deep.
Back then, I was a Harmony (Harry/Hermione) and Runa (Ron/Luna) shipper. I didn't particularly think Ginny was important, but I paired her with Neville, largely because of the Yule Ball.
Then HBP came out, and I joined the Harmony 'Die For Our Ship' thing that is so often mentioned in general fandom. Then JK Rowling called us all delusional.
Ahhh, those were the days :')
