A cenotaph is a monument. Usually covered with that towns soldiers names who died in the war. We have them erected in every town dedicated to the soldiers who fought for us in the wars. Every year on remembrance day, the ceremonies are usually held there.
oh, yeah we have them too in almost every suburb. Didn't know that's what they were called. We call em war memorials. And we have the same traditions. 1 minute of silence on 11/11 at 11am, and the bugle plays. Chokes me up every year.
