can I just say...FUCKING OUCH!!!
I've had shingles more than 10 times since I was 15. In 19 years I have NEVER felt this amount of pain. First I had it on my eye (see previous post for yukky pics) then as that was clearing up it decided to jump to my arm and back. It feels like I have stinging nettles stuck in me and because it affetcs the nervous system, I get twitching and waves of...how to explain it....um...it's like when you get a shiver up your spine, but it runs through my head, across my back and down my arm and it's pricklier than a shiver.
When I've had shingles before, people have said "ooo I hear that's painful" and it was. But I didn't realise that I had been having slight, though gross , outbreaks. This one is horrid! I cant stand clothes touching my skin until the painkillers kick in. And I have a temperature and and and OUCH! At least the Dr. has put me on strong medication, and about an hour after I take them I can handle clothes on my skin. But it's a full-on drug! I just looked it up and it's an opiate...eep! It's Endone, which is like methodone, cept I dont feel stoned thank gawd! It just kicks the pain in the ass. I don't normally whinge about pain, and I dont need sympathetic replies, I just needed to say...OUCH!!!!!!!
In other news, I have no news.... I'm bored as all hell! I'm sposed to be resting, but because my new anti d's are working so well, I cant sit still. I was in the middle of doing so much when this hit. I miss doing rescues and rehab (wires.org.au) and when you're waking up between 5 and 6 am it's a bloody long day! There's only so much foxtel a person can watch. I wanna finish painting the kitchen and building the aviary and and and and...ugh
ok, that's my whinge done. I prefer not to whinge, but sometimes ya just gotta!
Oh, I DL'd The devil wears prada...there's an hour and a half of my life I wont get back. Why do they make these movies that glorify fashion and anorexia!? Sure, Meryl was her usual fantastic self, but the movie just gave me the shits!
Any suggestions of new movies I should DL? Comedy/romane is preferable, but I'm also partial to a good thriller with twists. I'm not into anything that is set in the future. So if you've seen something at the movies or on dvd and you reckon it's worth watching, lemme know.
