Lookie! Lookie!
Dude, I made a hat!
(Well, it's not quite finished, but it's close!)
In progress...
(I used an old straw hat I've had laying around forever as the base, and covered it insome blue fabric I've also had around forever...I think it's a cotton/silk blend shantung or something, but not too slubby)
Not totally sewn together, but LOOKIE! I has a hat!
And the brown band (also not sewn on yet) will tie it in to my stripey polonaise!

Seriously, this is my first hat ever! The only thing like this I've ever done was a bonnet, which I put together over a year ago, and still need to trim! Whoops!
I'm already plotting how I'm going to trim this hat--I know I want to add a brown bow in addition to the band...but what else?
ETA: Also, I'm FINALLY starting to use tags! *is impressed* ;-)
