And Walked Out of My Life

Jun 18, 2006 22:57

Friday was super awesome.  I woke up around 7:30, just when mom left, to prepare for a morning of doing a load of laundry.   Okay, so that wasn't exactly a highlight of the day, but I did get it done.  Yay me.  I was going to meet up with Brooks and Paul at 12 and I didn't start doing the laundry until around 8:30.  I waited for dad to come home so I could wash his uniform.  Any-hoo, I was done with all laundry at 11:13.  When I headed up, I was hoping that Kuya took the initiative and took a shower while I was in the laundry room for 2 hours.

Go fig, I was dreaming.  :-P

He had begun eating a late breakfast even though I told him that we were meeting with the other two for lunch.  And yes, Kuya came with us b/c I didn't have enough time to find a girl.  Really, it makes sense.  I told dad, who had just woken up from his nap, that I was going to take a shower.  After I finished, dad and Kuya both tell me that my phone went off but they didn't answer it.  -_-  B/c that would be stepping in on my privacy...they care about that issue now?!  *sigh*  It wasn't until 11:55 that Kuya decided that it would be a great time to shower.  He also that it would be an opportune time to look for a razor.  The minute he stepped into the bathroom, my phone goes off and it's Paul and Brooks; they're outside.  I met with them and dad said that he'd send Kuya down when he left the bathroom.

I met Brooks and Paul in the upper parking lot and then we stood on the bridge just hanging.  Paul nearly fell into the pond and Brooks and I didn't even realize until he told us.  Observant like a fox.  Paul also spit his gum into pond and watched as the tiny fish attacked it...and then one tiny fish had it stuck to it's face.  Good times with that fish.  Kuya finally met up with us and we decided to eat at Costco in Waterbury.  I rode with Paul and Kuya with Brooks b/c Brooks wasn't sure of the directions and Kuya is a map. Plus Paul had Linkin Park, no brainer right there.  See?  I can be bribed.

Omg, I forgot how good a Costco pizza is, so delicious.   We ordered a whole pizza and we saved the last three in Brooks' car.  After some damn good pizza, I can't get over it, we went to Lakewood Lanes for a rousing bowling game.  lol, I warned them several times of my ineptness with hard balls but alas, that didn't persuade them.  We needed to go do something in Waterbury any-hoo b/c Paul was called in to work at 4:15 that day and was stuck working at the hospital until 7:30.  Ah well, I'd take fun as it came.  When we arrived at Lakewood Lanes, we were in awe of the lack of people there.  We had to keep reminding ourselves that peeps were probably at school or work.  It was so fun being the only people there to bowl.  Not to say that there weren't other people there; they were playing pool.

Surprisingly, I restrained myself from putting the quarters in to play.  There were even shooting games and I still didn't play them.  I deserve a medal.

We played three games of 10.  I'm not sure if that's average or not.  We, as in the boys, grabbed so many balls and placed them in our ball holder (obviously not hip to the terminology).  It was fun; Paul and Brooks kicking our asses and Kuya with an unusual yet very effective release.  This was the second time that Kuya has ever gone bowling and my third.  Lord knows how many times the two former HC bowling team members play.  :-P  All in good fun it was, it was.  Paul and Brooks were dishing out advice which helped me a lot and it showed a little bit through out the games.  I actually made a strike!!!!!

*does happy dance*

Oh yeah, uh-huh.  Granted every one made their strikes earlier than me but I'll take what I could get, lol.  I also made some pretty good spares, esp. this weird split one.  Brooks had a look of total astonishment and I'm sure if Paul was looking, he would've mirrored it too.  Kuya was surprised too; I'm pretty good with the shocking.  Go me.  I don't know what kind of split it was, something with a 7...I think.  It was so coolio!  Kuya kept on using Paul's red stallion b/c his fingers fit perfectly in it even though Paul didn't give him permission to use it.  ^_^;  Brooks bowled with the coconut and the flaming melon ball and I stuck with my purple ball and this cappuccino colored ball.  I bowled my highest that day: 104.  Fat chance of that happening again but hey, it was fun.

After we finished our third set, we parted with Paul and headed to Brass Mill.  We took the scenic route.  The funny part was that Brooks listened to me at one point and can you imagine, it was the wrong way.  *giggle*  Any-hoo, we made it to Brass Mill and pretty much wandered around.  We were going to meet Paul at the movies upstairs since we couldn't do it that afternoon.  We bought a shirt for dad and Kuya bought several anime related stuff.  He bought me a manga and I got a DVD b/c it came free with what he was buying.  And there is my birthday present from Kuya, lol.  Brooks gave me $20 which would later be spent on dinner at J&J BBQ b/c we couldn't turn down persistent Asians with meat.  It was a very relaxing time.  There was no nervousness nor the need to put on a show.  Brooks even acted like a girlfriend and asked so how's my "guy situation", lol.  Oh you.

By 7:30 we decided to wait for Paul at the theater and tried to check out the movie times.  God there were so many pseudo teens there.  More than likely they were waiting to watch either Cars or The Fast & The Furious 3: Tokyo Drift, which in my opinion is similar to Initial D but w/e.  We waited for quite a while and then we decided to try the theater in Seymour b/c we missed the movies that we may have wanted to see there plus all the pseudo teens were grouping like rodents.  *shudders*  We headed to Seymour and didn't like the movie choices there and decided to just call it a night.  Brooks took Kuya and me back home and we stood on the bridge.  I proved to Brooks that the ducks don't like my green light and seem to have no care towards his red light.  Go fig.  We parted ways and decided to hang out again as soon as possible.   We also came to the realization that we are very , very dirty people.

Saturday was so boring.  Everyone(except me) is sick here and it's driving me nuts.  The cacophony of coughing, sneezing, and snoring is enough to make me want to strangle a Venetian swan with a monkey wrench.   I woke up abruptly to the sound of talking and the loud TV.  That's when I remembered why I miss separate rooms.  I was pretty irritable yesterday and it pretty much carried over to today.  When I don't get enough sleep I'm quite a difficult person to handle.  Dad and I went to his work to pick up his paycheck, then we went to the Meriden Mall where I bought Kuya his birthday present, BJs for gas, and then WalMart for his stuff.  Dad actually was miffed at me for using my gift cards to buy peeps presents; he said that they were mine to spend on me.  Not that I don't understand that but I don't have that luxury to use them on me when so many other people have occassion coming up and deserve presents.  He reluctantly let me use my Best Buy card on Kuya and he allowed me to use my entire WalMart card...okay that I wasn't too happy about but it was for dad from dad so who am I to judge, eh?  We bought this really coolio spoof called 18 Fingers of Death.  After watching it I went to bed.

Today was so freaking humid.  Not terribly humid but it was just irritating.  Kuya stayed here while the rest of us went to mass and then to watch The Omen.  Yes.  Yes I did scream.  I also found out that the house that I've been eyeing was already sold.  Dad said that it was too expensive and that we couldn't ever afford it.  So why show it to us in the first place and ask if we wanted it?  Why tell me about all these deals that could be made to ensure owning it?  Maybe he was just as disappointed and surprised about it being sold too, I mean, it would be just plain cruel if he did it otherwise.  Another downer today is that mom broke my butterfly necklace that Stephy bought me.  Like mom said, it was pretty much my fault.  I placed it near her comb and if anything's in her way, it's removed with force.  *sigh*  I liked it too.  We finished watching Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior on the Disney channel.  Pretty good.  Loved the martial arts action and Shin Koyamada.  *dreamy look*  Now I'm watching the NBA Finals.  I'm hoping that the Heat win since they beat two of my teams (Nets and Pistons), I don't like the Mavericks, and I heart Jason Williams.  *second dreamy look*

Stephy's birthday is today so many wishes to her.  Today is also Father's Day so kudos to being a dad.  This Saturday is the big day for peeps.  First for Gabe since he has to play this challenging Mozart piece for work.  Secondly to Jess, my cousin, since there's going to be a 16th birthday/farwell party for her.  They're moving to KY.  The party is going to be held at Hammonasset(sp?) beach from 2-8PM.  Mom says that I can invite people since it is a big place and my uncle wouldn't kick out any one just b/c of a coincidence.  *shrugs*  So if any of you are in the area come on by, lol.  It's also my aunt/godmother's birthday.  *sniflle*  They're all growing up so quickly.

Gummy hair follicles are best left to rot.
