After a show...
Pete: "That was a great set, you really sounded intense out there."
Strider: "Are you coming to the rally with me?"
Pete: "No, you know I'm not into all that activist crap. Me and Kel are gonna
go grab some brewskis and watch the game"
Strider: "Crap? Man, we're starting a fucking revolution!"
Pete: "Well when it gets big sign me up."
Strider: "You can't just jump on the bandwagon at the end. Listen man, the
bourgeoise are the master of their own demise, its inevitable."
Pete: "Isn't that in one of our songs?"
Strider: "Yeah, that's what all our songs about, bringin down the man, clearing the
conscious of the proletariat ... where have you been these past four years?
Pete: "I don't know I'm just the lead guitarist, I stand up there and look good and
rip some chords, c'mon, ... oh, .... so you really meant all that stuff"
Strider: "YEAH!"
Pete: "Oh ... i mean, i knew that ... but what about our song 'Burn Washington and
Start Over', you didn't really want anarchy, did you?
Strider: "ALL OF IT! I MEANT ALL OF IT, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WORD"
Pete: "Well... geez.... I guess I never really thought of it that way, I thought
they were just songs and we were targeting to a certain audience"
Strider: "And what audience would that be?
Pete: "Oh, let's see ... teenage angst, people who feel like outcasts, angry folks,
a few goth kids, heavy metal fans ..."
Strider: "JUST STOP! Okay, here's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna go to the rally, and you just read this and we'll talk about it later"
Pete: "The Communist Manifesto? ... look man I'm not a communist!"
Strider: "And this isn't the inquisition, look, we'll talk about it later"
