Stood high on Sat
A few days ago June called and want me to accompany her to a performance at Miller on Sat night. Not knowing what it was and when, I agreed. When it comes to music I can definitely trust this girl's taste.
Remember her taking me to Martini Pizza and The Union? Only that I realized those are something I've always craved for. The 60s, 70s, and 80s music never fails to entertain me, as much as JRock does. But it's always so hard to find such fanbase among my circle of friends. They're pretty much on the pop side, which well I'm not hating it either. It's funny though Ashley once yelled at me liek "Chiiiiiiiing!!!!11 HOW THE HELL THIS ASIAN KNOW THIS SONG IT WAS BORN WAY BEFORE YOU UUUGHS". I was singing "Me and Mrs Jones". The very first time I heard this song, I thought this is real SEXY. But ended up liek 99% of my friends don't like it. orz nande?
So the performance turned out to be Gold Company's tribute to Motown Records' artists. IT WAS AMAZINGLY AWESOME. Seriously I was so touched seeing these young people rock around songs from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Rick James, Jackson 5, and zOMFG THE TEMPTATIONS I love this band to bits!!!! Of course their Medleys have so much more artists that I couldn't even recognize orz. But those songs are definitely familiar and humming them made possible. They made the whole performance funny too, which is a bonus. I recognized Randy from Funktion though. Uuuuughs HE IS SO VERY TEH UUUGHS-LY CUTE!!!!!!11111 Liek omg his saxophone solos blew me out of the milky way several times. I remembered dancing and rocking in front of Funktion back then, eyeing on the drummer all the time but applauded most to Randy's solos. He kept giving me the uber-cute eye contacts while half-lifting his eyebrow and single shot killing smile. I gave him several thumbs up. This guy rocks!!!!!!11
So conclusion? June took me to something amazing again. I love it. Totally love it :D
But she left early from Grotto. You definitely missed out some hellof fun! Btw she's not that kind of girl that will enjoy boozing in a smoke filled underground room. Dang breaking the little dance floor in front of the DJ was a serious blast!!!1 It reminds me of Sushiya bar night with Dave and teh gang. Being young na...? I'm getting older day by day and facing the crisis of being have to be sent back to M'sia because dang I couldn't find any job at all. So while I'm still her, gotta enjoy. Andrew's married to a Caucasian and he asked me not to liek what a waste of time. And I was liek "why not?? Ang mohs are fun creatures" and he LOLed hahahaahhaahaha *get butchered terribly*
