Written ages and ages ago and I was bored today and revisited the thing, laughed, and realized I hadn't shared by brilliance with the world. Meaning that I amuse myself with how stupid I am sometimes. Original fantasy that is really only an excuse for mocking and boisex follows.

Princess Haelin has gone and gotten herself kidnapped and, to save her, Alex is stuck with the prettiest boy in the world he can't stand. His life is so full of doom and woe.

Summer Noon
by meitachi

It was one of those sweltering hot days in mid-July when the heat was practically visible and distorted the air like in an animated film. The trees, dressed richly in green leaves, were drooping lazily as the sun beat down on them. It was a day where movement was wont to be limited to shutting oneself in the house and turning on the air conditioning and then draping oneself near the air vent with a cold drink and a book.

Aaron was sprawled across his bed on his stomach, dressed in a loose gray T-shirt and shorts and a cherry popsicle in his mouth, reading a magazine. He idly flipped a page and sucked on his popsicle.

The door opened downstairs and there were sounds of loud voices, angry voices, and then the shouts were punctuated with a slam of the door. Stomps sounded their way to the staircase and up.

“Back already?” Aaron asked, glancing up to his open doorway.

His older brother paused on his way to his own room. He scowled fiercely. “Toby is such a jackass,” he growled and then, turning swiftly on his heel, stalked into his room down the hall and slammed the door.

If you hate him, thought Aaron mildly to himself, being one of those collected people who rarely got flustered and whose calm and unruffled air never failed to irritate those around them, why do you spend so much time with him? Then, shrugging, as he had far better things to do with his thirteen-year-old life than to worry about his riviko’s, he returned to his magazine and carefully licked a drop of cool cherry-flavored liquid from the popsicle before it dripped onto his hand.

--

Three hours earlier…

Alex muttered curses into his pillow and then sighed, rolling over. He lay on his back and stared at the ceiling. It was so damned hot, he thought irately. Of all the days the princess had to go and get herself kidnapped. He really didn’t need to deal with this today.

With a groan, he got up and pulled open the door to his room. He had to tell Aaron. He should’ve done so as soon as the missive had arrived, instead of locking himself in his room and sulking for half an hour. But gods, just the thought of working with Toby-! He was such a pain in the ass. Alex really didn’t want to have to cooperate with him. But, as always, he didn’t have much of a choice… Damn.

“Rivichi,” he called, padding down the hallway to his younger brother’s room.

“Yeah?”

“Where’s Dad?”

“Probably out pestering the trolls again.” Aaron looked up from his sketchbook. “Why?”

Alex pulled a long-suffering face. Not again. He wished their father would leave the creatures well enough alone for once. The elves were far more receptive to solicitors than the unsociable trolls. “Haelin’s been kidnapped again. You gotta go tell him.” He sighed and ran a hand through his fair hair, sweeping it out of his eyes. “I’ll be with the rest of the Crests up at the castle. You can find me there if you need me.” Then, turning, he made his way down the stairs and grabbed his car keys.

“Should we expect you home for dinner?” asked Aaron, who’d followed him down, from the stairs.

Glancing briefly over his shoulder, Alex replied, “Maybe. Depends on how fast we find her.” He paused at the door. “Actually, tell Mom not to bother. I’ll eat out, ‘kay?” He nodded in the general direction of his younger brother and left, pulling the door firmly shut behind him.

As he slid into the driver’s seat of his car, the leather burning to the touch, the thought that he should be more worried about his first cousin flashed fleetingly across his mind.

But honestly, Haelin managed to get herself kidnapped at least once a month and she was always recovered safely, if in rather inane circumstances, so Alex really didn’t expend much anxiety. He focused instead on having to work, somewhat civilly, as the laws of the Crests demanded, with that idiot bastard Toby. Definitely the worst aspect of this whole situation.

The boy was such a- Alex shook his head and growled softly under his breath as he drove toward the castle, hands cautious on the hot wheel. He didn’t even know what to call Toby now, having pretty much exhausted every curse word and degrading name in his repertoire and fast running out of unflattering adjectives. The two had suffered the unlucky fate of being born on the same day-the day designated a century previous by a faerie prophet-and had joined five others as the Crests of Myssalir.

Now they were forced to work with each other to protect the peace and harmony (i.e., Haelin, flighty princess extraordinaire, heiress to the throne, Alex’s first cousin, and possessor of an impressively large and long-lasting crush on Linael, Toby’s younger brother) of Myssalir and rescue her routinely from the clutches of evil.

It really was enough to make a guy want to quit. Unfortunately, he didn’t have the luxury of that option. Being a Crest was an honor not to be denied. There was no other choice in career for one who had already been Chosen.

Alex arrived at the castle and pulled around to the parking lot in back. What a hell of a day, he grumbled to himself, to be out in this miserable weather. At least his car was in the shade. Extricating himself from it, he could see the cluster of people standing by the back gates, waiting for him. The other Crests, he sighed. Punctual as always.

He approached the imposing black iron gates that locked together the tall, stone walls surrounding the castle. The five already gathered there greeted him with a mixture of resigned looks, reproving frowns, and a warm smile. The last came from tender-hearted Charity, aptly named, who couldn’t bear to hurt anyone but had a special soft spot for Alex. She humored him often and was always there with a sweet word. Though they were the same age, actually her being older by a few months, Alex saw her as something of a younger sister. He’d always wanted a selvichi…

Beside red-haired elfish Charity was Damien, a swaggering, self-confident sort of guy who was often crass and rude but fiercely loyal, to Charity especially. They were almost always together.

“Yo,” he greeted Alex. Alex nodded back at him. Charity beamed.

“Hi Alex! I’m glad you could make it. We’re just waiting for-“

Their unofficial “leader” broke in, irritably. “Where the hell is Remington?” Petite but hardheaded, tough and stubborn and bossy, kelpie Velana put her hands on her hips and glared at all and sundry.

At the name, a sour expression crossed Alex’s face. Toby. “No idea.” His angel-bright blue eyes narrowed and darkened in something resembling intense hatred.

“Hey, chill.” A hand clapped down on his shoulder and Ailen, another elf, cast him a sideways look, urging him gently to relax. “We have to work together, remember?” From his other side, Paige, a river nymph, bobbed her blonde head in agreement.

“It’s no secret that you guys don’t get along,” she said with a dry smile, “but we have to think of Princess Haelin.” She turned to face him head-on. “It’s actually a little strange,” she added, “because a ransom note hasn’t been found yet. The princess has just gone missing.” A worried look crossed her pretty features.

Alex started. “No ransom note?” That was indeed odd. He frowned, thinking. “But then, how can we be sure she’s been kidnapped? Maybe the little tart just decided to run off and molest-“

“She’s nowhere around Linael,” a cold voice said briskly. “I checked.”

“Remington!” Velana erupted as the tall, dark-haired boy strode towards them. “You’re late!” She rounded on him, set to tell him off, but he gently pushed her away and came to a standstill in front of Alex, green eyes flashing. Even Velana subsided as she realized another tense confrontation between the two rivals.

Charity looked on worriedly.

“Aphrael,” Toby said in mock-polite tones. “You’re looking well today.”

Alex twitched. He valiantly reined in his impulse to smash his fist against the other boy’s mocking features. Son of a…goat-inclined troll whore. Swallowing a snarl, he took a deep breath and carefully made sure that his hands did not clench into fists, taking care to speak in a cool, controlled voice that was so his rivichi’s trademark (damn Aaron and his composure). He couldn’t be caught flustered in front of him. It’d look weak. “I’ve asked you not to call me that, Tobias.”

“But it’s your name, is it not?” A dark brow arched. “You are a Uyoku, descendant of the angels.”

“My name,” he had to remind himself not to grit his teeth, “is Alex.” A blazing blue glare accompanied this statement. “As you well know.”

Velana exhaled loudly. “Belt up, brats,” she ordered them brusquely, interrupting the tense moment with no qualms. Her hands were on her hips again and she looked ready to get down to business. “Remember what you are and why you’re here. We need to focus on finding and saving our princess, okay? Not to hear you two duke it out.” She pointed in turn at each Crest.

“Damien, you’re with Charity, of course, since you can’t do shit without her. Ailen’s with Alex and Toby’s with Paige. I work alone. Now what we need to do is-" She began outlining a plan to scout the castle, known trouble spots, the princess’s favorite escapes, and the like. She emphasized the need for speed and also cautioned the group that there may be no ransom note-yet-but it was still likely that Haelin was in, as usual, the “clutches of evil.” “It’s our duty to save her and vanquish the evil,” she looked a little tired of the speech, which had to be given every time they went off to rescue the princess (a too frequent event), “and maybe even step up security on the airhead once we get her back!”

“Eh, Lana,” Damien grunted with an amused grin, “That last bit ain’t part of the speech.”

“I hate this job,” their fearless leader groused.

Paige spoke up tentatively. “I don’t mean to cause any trouble,” she cast a sideways glance at Toby and Alex, who were determinedly not looking at each other, “but I really do feel I work better with Ailen. If you don’t mind…?”

Unfortunately for Paige, despite her diplomatic wording, Velana almost wailed. “Paige! You know I’m not allowed to work with anyone! I’m the fearless leader who tromps about fearlessly by herself and conquers fear all by herself until she can fearlessly do good by herself and the main words in there are ‘by herself’! If you and Ailen work together, do you know who that leaves?!”

Toby and Alex resolutely stared at everything except each other, even as the rest of the Crests cast despairing looks at them.

A few minutes passed in that manner.

“I’ll work with him if I have to,” Alex finally conceded icily, but only because he liked Paige and wouldn’t want her suffering with that frigid bastard.

Before anyone could dissent, particularly one fuming Toby Remington, Charity smiled and clasped her hands. “I knew we could all get along.” She turned her sunny expression toward Toby. “You do agree, don’t you?”

His expression melted into one of resignation. No one could turn down Charity; to see her hurt was worse than kicking an innocent newborn puppy. He inclined his head silently, dark brown bangs falling in front of his eyes.

“Good!” Charity took charge from Velana, who looked close to falling to pieces. Taking Damien’s hand, she announced, “Let’s go and rescue Princess Haelin!”

--

One hour later…

Aaron shut his sketchbook with a slight frown. He hadn’t quite captured the expression he was hoping for on the girl’s face, a young Japanese girl in a kimono who had just stumbled upon the love of her life having intimate liaisons with her brother-his latest character sketch for his newest concept. Still, he was ready for a break after half an hour of erasing. He scratched the back of his head with his pencil. His art could wait.

As he was rummaging through the pantry for something to snack on, preferably cool, in this wretched heat, the phone rang. Putting his search on hold, he scooped up the phone from the counter. “What do you want?”

“Did you call Dad yet?”

His riviko. Who else? “Yes, and he’s thrilled. He said he’d tell Mom. The news station always loves this time of the month; their ratings go sky-high.” Aaron wandered out of the kitchen. “How goes the search?”

Alex muttered something unintelligible.

“Ah,” observed his miniature. “You’re partnered with Toby, aren’t you?”

The annoyed hiss that escaped his brother was as good as a, “Yes and why, goddammit, he’s horrible, I hate him!” Either Alex was extremely eloquent with his snarls or Aaron was just quite good at interpreting them.

“Found her yet?”

“No, still looking.”

“Right. Good luck with that.” Aaron hung up. He really hoped Alex didn’t think he was that stupid. Just because he was four years younger than his brother didn’t mean he was completely clueless. Aaron wasn’t that easily fooled. He knew Alex didn’t hate Toby as much as he claimed or did an exaggerated job of demonstrating and was aware that, in fact, there was quite a bit of a masquerade going on. He wondered how many actually knew.

And this whole “still looking” for the princess bit… He snorted.

Aaron set the phone back in the cradle and opened the freezer. Hah. Popsicles. He thought so. Liberating a lime-flavored one from the box, he meandered into the living room and turned on the ceiling fan. Even with the air conditioning, it was bordering on stifling in the house. He turned on the TV and flipped to his favorite channel.

Look at that, he mused to himself. Underwater Light was on. An anime about two boys who claimed to be heated rivals but dabbled in a different sort of heated relationship when no one was looking.

Sound familiar? He chuckled to himself and twirled the popsicle in his mouth. Riviko is so easy to see through.

---

Meanwhile…

“You suck,” Alex groaned.

There was a brief lull, until, “You know it.” Toby lifted his head from Alex’s bared chest and licked his lips, eyes gleaming. He grinned. “Would you like me to?”

“How much longer have we got?”

Toby estimated in his head. “Approximately an hour and a half,” he ventured at last. “We need at least a couple of minutes to go rescue my rivichi from Her Highness before returning to the castle.” His grin returned, more lascivious than before. “So how about it, Aphrael?”

“Whatever you want.” Alex pulled the other boy’s face up to his and latched their mouths together in a hot, wet kiss. He was going to go out of his mind…

Toby’s lips pressed urgently against his, insistently, hot and firm and slightly sweet, and suddenly there was a tongue swiping at his mouth, questing for entrance. Alex’s heart pounded in a steadily increasing tempo and his ears began to ring as Toby pressed his body closer, his warmth enveloping the Uyoku.

Heat in an already roasting day-he knew the sweat was probably rolling down them both in waves. But, gods, he groaned, shifting, it was worth it.

Toby was straddling Alex, who lay on his back in the warm grass. A large weeping willow provided them a slightly cooler shade than the direct rays of the sun, but even its long, slender branches were still in the heat, no breeze to stir them to life. The two Crests were in a hidden grove on the private, royally owned side of the silvery blue lake around which the city sprouted. No one would dare step onto its green grassed hills and white sandy shores without permission. But Crests, naturally, had been granted this freely…

It was convenient, certainly…

They had stripped their clothes hastily, urged on not only by their need for each other, for the feel of skin on slick skin, but also by the terrible heat of the day. Clothes, really, were just hampering. Suffocating.

Alex’s hands had made their way to Toby’s shoulders, gripping desperately, but their hold relaxed as Toby’s mouth fell open beneath the tempestuous assault of his lover and slid up into his hair. Toby’s hands wrapped themselves around the other boy’s slim build raking his fingers along a smooth, slick back. Alex’s scent, drifting from his hair, wafted in the air, the smell achingly familiar and enough to set trigger memories of more sweat and slick skin and musky scents and silent sighs that slipped into the summer air that hung so heavily above them…

Toby’s tongue tangled with Alex’s, battling, dueling, testing, each familiarizing the other’s texture and taste. Toby drew back suddenly, heaving, drawing long breaths and exhaling, his eyes trained on Alex’s flushed face.

“What?” Alex demanded breathlessly, licking his swollen lips.

“We owe Paige,” the dark-haired boy laughed, and lunged forward again, attacking the skin along Alex’s jaw with not-so-gentle nips and swift, hot licks that elicited a whimper out of the younger of the two.

Alex arched under his ministrations, not so subtly angling his jaw so Toby had better access. “Yes we do,” he agreed between moans.

He wondered fleetingly if any of the other Crests knew about them, such as Charity, and what they would think… But the hands feverishly working through his hair and teasing down his chest distracted him, and the mouth that fastened itself to his left nipple drove all coherent thought out of his mind. It had been too long since the last time. Sweet electricity coursed through his veins, making him tingle with the pleasure, and his eyes shut and he pulled Toby closer.

Gods, it had been far too long…

Toby left a trail of moist kisses up from Alex’s chest, pausing to suck on the skin below his collarbone. Toby drifted a hand between Alex’s legs.

“Aaah!”

Pleased with the result, Toby did it again. He swallowed the Uyoku’s whimper with his own mouth and pulled back another time, green eyes flicking from the swollen, red mouth down the exposed chest, to rest on the erection begging for attention. An answering throb came from his own arousal.

Toby’s hands slid up Alex’s back and yanked him close, body flush along the other boy’s. Toby’s breath hissed out and he narrowed his eyes, hair moving slightly with his movements. “You are so fucking gorgeous,” he gritted out between his teeth. He moved experimentally, aligning his erection with Alex’s and oh--his breath caught in his throat as a haze of mind-blowing pleasure burned through him.

Alex moaned, hips lifting involuntarily, rocking.

“You…” Toby kissed the other Crest hard, “are,” and bit his lower lip flirtingly, “mine,” as he fingered one erect nipple, “Only mine. Don’t forget it, Aphrael.” And he kissed Alex fiercely again.

“Yours,” Alex gasped out, wrapping one arm around the green-eyed boy’s neck, the other sliding down his side. “And you’re mine, Tobias.” Leaning forward, he covered Toby’s mouth with his own. “Always.”

His hands slid down to explore the smooth skin that covered Toby’s chest, feeling reckless and happy and hot and so damned hard. He shifted his position so that he was pressed closer to the other boy, his hips rubbing against Toby’s.

The other boy’s eyes slid closed as a soft moan escaped his lips. “Always,” he echoed faintly.

Alex smirked. He was hardly the passive lover. Previous encounters had established that. He loved Toby moaning and begging and demanding and fierce… God, he thought again, bringing a halt to his fantasies before he lost himself. He looked at Toby.

The other Crest was delectable, flushed, sweating, fever-bright eyes that had opened when Alex had lain there lost in his own daydreams. His dark brown hair clung to his face and fell over his eyes, sweat gleaming one tanned, rounded shoulder that the Uyoku couldn’t suppress the urge to bite. Call it primal instinct.

And suddenly Alex leaned up and wrapped his legs around Toby, hands entangled in that long, wild hair as he attacked Toby’s neck. He shuddered at the moan he elicited and nearly went out of his mind with the intense pleasure at the rhythmic thrusts of Toby’s hips against his.

Princess Haelin, Linael, and the rest of the damn Crests and their rescue missions would just have to wait. Aphrael Alexander Ala and Tobias Clark Remington had more important things to deal with first.

--

One hour and a half later…

“You owe me one, riviko,” Linael hissed to his brother as the pouting Princess Haelin was rounded off to Alex’s car. He looked extremely put out. “That girl is insane! I can’t believe I had to put up with her for two hours! She tried to molest me.”

Toby scratched his nose and cast a lazy eye at his younger brother. “Nothing new.” At the look from his rivichi, he defended, “It’s not like I asked her to run off. She did that completely on her own.”

“But you got a good fuck out of it,” Linael pointed out, scowling. “Whereas I had to endure hell. You still owe me. Be glad I didn’t send her off a cliff or something.”

“Fine, fine, whatever.” Toby shrugged as he left his parents’ house. It was nice to live on your own, he thought smugly, glancing at his younger brother who was all dark-haired, dark-eyed, dark glare. “I’ll buy you something, okay? Come over later or something.” Bounding down the stairs, he climbed into the passenger’s seat of Alex’s sporty red car and waved vaguely at Linael and then twisted in his seat to look at the princess. Alex pulled out of the driveway and headed back toward the castle.

Haelin was sulking, arms crossed and lipstick-covered mouth pouting petulantly, her golden hair loose and barely long enough to cover her skimpy top. Her shorts were no better in covering up her very royal skin.

“Princess,” Toby reprimanded her with a sigh, “I don’t think your parents would be very pleased to see your outfit.”

“Why? I’m just trying to keep cool,” she snapped back. She sullenly raised her cobalt blue eyes up to him, reminding him eerily of Aphrael’s, but Alex’s eyes were a much softer hue, like still waters of Paige’s river, though Toby was particularly fond of when they blazed like the sky on fire, knowing he was the cause. He scrutinized the princess and, with a sigh, recognized her mood. Petulant to a fault, stubborn as a mule-she was hardly in the frame of mind to listen to reason. Then again, fourteen-year-olds rarely were. Linael, for example.

Rolling his eyes and giving up a lecture as a lost cause, Toby turned to face the front again. Alex, noticing via the rearview mirror that Haelin was watching them, made the effort of sending him a venomous glare. The appearances they kept up, Toby thought, privately amused.

“I just wanted to see Linael!” Haelin exclaimed. “Is that so wrong? It’s not fair! I hate being princess. Why don’t I ever get to do what I want? Why doesn’t Linael like me?” she demanded. “It’s not fair.”

“Haelin,” Alex said in very strained tones, making a pretense at being patient. “You know that any of the Crests would be quite willing to take you to visit whomever you damn well please whenever the hell you want, if only you’d ask first.” He gripped the steering wheel tightly. “You have a bad habit of being selfish and completely self-absorbed, cousin mine.”

“Korviko!” she exclaimed, stung.

Toby glanced at his Uyoku. “Aren’t you being a little harsh?”

“Shut the fuck up Toby, I never wanted to be partnered with you in the first place, jackass. She’s my cousin and she’s being and idiot, I can say whatever the hell I want, okay?”

“Whatever, asshole.”

Haelin fell to fuming in the backseat. “I hope korvichi doesn’t grow up like you,” she muttered hatefully.

“No, Aaron will grow up much better. He wouldn’t have let you escape in the first place.” Alex pulled into the castle parking lot, once again in the back, where the shadows of the castle stretched long shadows on the hot ground. He’d called the other Crests as soon as they’d picked the princess up at Linael’s; so far, only Charity and Damien had made it back to meet them.

“Thank goodness,” Charity cried, hurrying to the car and helping Haelin out. She gave the young princess a hug. “Please don’t run away again,” she pleaded, her sea-green eyes wide. “You had me so worried, princess. If you ever want to go anywhere, just ask me, okay? I promise I’ll take you.” She smiled sweetly. “I promised to be just like a selviko, remember?”

Haelin nodded grudgingly. Even she, however, could not resist the force that was Charity. She gave a small smile. “I’m sorry I worried you.”

Damien stood by Toby and Alex. “So you found her with your rivichi?” he asked of Toby.

“Yeah. She must’ve gotten there after I’d checked with him.” He made a big production of sighing. “Little idiot claimed he couldn’t get to the phone until just a few minutes ago because she was all over him.”

Damien barked out a laugh. “Precocious little bugger, ain’t she?”

Alex growled something unflattering under his breath, glared at Toby, and said shortly, “Damien, make sure Charity helps her change before bringing her back to her parents. You can brief Lana and the others when they get back. I’m leaving.” So saying, he turned on his heel and slid back into his car. He peeled out of the lot with an angry sort of screech from his car, a sound incongruent with the heavy, lazy air of the day.

Staring after the fast-disappearing red car, Damien cocked his head. “Eh, nasty little temper he’s got, eh?” He shared a private little smirk with Toby as Charity began leading the princess back toward the gates and into the castle. “Still, such a pretty thing. Uyoku are damned fine. With a wink, he swaggered after the redheaded elf, missing the vicious glare directed at him from cool green eyes.

“Mine,” Toby muttered under his breath, making his way to his own car. He’d catch Alex.

--

Fifteen minutes later…

Alex was careful to slam the door behind him as he stormed inside the house. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, lips still tingling and swollen-his tongue lapped out-and tasting of Tobias.

Making as much noise as he could, he stomped up the stairs, schooling his features into one of fury.

“Back already?”

He glanced briefly into his rivichi’s room. “Toby is such a jackass,” he snarled, and without further ado, slammed into his own room. He flopped onto the bed. Gods, it was hot.

Alex shifted a little. He was still sore, which was why he hadn’t done much walking and hadn’t stuck around at the castle. One of the other Crests was sure to have noticed and Paige might have even taken it upon herself to tease them. The other reason was that he needed a shower. Lake water could only do so much for cleaning up.

A small smile drifted across his face. Still, it had been good. Really, really good. It’d been too long since the last time-but who’d have guessed that Haelin would’ve inadvertently given them another opportunity? Toby was probably right; he had been too harsh on his cervichi.

The heat was still stifling but as he stripped, it caressed his skin and reminded him of a different sort of heat. His eyes drifted shut as he stood for a moment, naked, in his room, and remembered…

Hot breaths, sweat-dampened skin, whispered words, promise of touch, desperation and scent and shuddering and white, mind-blowing pleasure…

Alex opened his eyes and bit the corner of his lip. He was going to need a cold shower.

--

“Can you come over?”

“Yeah. I’ll be there in a few.” Aaron hung up the phone and sucked one last time on his now-empty popsicle stick. He tossed the bit of wood into the trash and padded into the hallway. Pounding on the bathroom door, he shouted that he was going to go out for awhile.

Alex yelled back to go ahead and then there was a hiss and the sound of rushing water from the faucet.

Aaron went downstairs and looked in the freezer. There were still four popsicles left; he’d had three already today. He considered for awhile then decided that he might as well save some for tomorrow. Closing the freezer, he left the kitchen and made his way to the front door to put on his shoes.

About ten or fifteen minutes later, he had walked down the block and right for two more, sweltering in the heat of summer. Aaron pushed back his blonde bangs, already sweaty, and made his way up the walkway to a particular house. He spoke to the knocker, an unusual silver one in the shape of a gryffin’s head.

“Aaron Ala,” he said.

“Oh, you. Go on in,” it said in a knowing voice. “He’s been expecting you.”

A small smile crept across Aaron’s face. He turned the knob and pushed the door open, stepping inside the cool house.

As the door shut behind him, there was a pattering of footsteps upstairs. Then a boy appeared on the stairs, dark hair damp and disheveled and striped shirt unbuttoned and hanging loose on his slender frame. “Hey,” he greeted the other boy. “Sorry, I just had to shower.” He grimaced. “Had to get all of Haelin’s touches off.” He hurried down the stairs.

“I figured she was here,” replied Aaron. “Shame. Mom will be upset-there won’t be nearly as much to report to the station.”

Linael came to a stop before the blonde boy. He eyed his mouth intently. “What have you been eating?” he asked, eyes dark.

“A cherry popsicle.”

“Hm.” Linael caught the faint smirk on Aaron’s face and pulled the younger boy toward him. “Toby and Alex had a good fuck today,” he said conversationally. “It was written all over them when they came to pick the princess up.” He slid his hands up under Aaron’s shirt. “I figure they shouldn’t be the only ones allowed to have fun.”

“It’s really hot,” Aaron pointed out calmly, seeming undisturbed at the wandering hands pressing against his bare flesh.

Linael licked at the sensitive spot beneath Aaron’s ear. “Then let’s make it hotter,” he suggested, his breath whispering along the other boy’s jaw. His eyes gleamed.

Aaron bit his lip.

“Okay,” he murmured, eyes drifting shut and hands rising to thread through Linael’s hair. It was really unfair how Linael was the only one who could shake his composure. He’d have to work on that.

The dark-haired boy sucked on his throat, flicking his tongue out to lap at the skin. Aaron’s breath hitched.

Later.
