Father, forgive me for I have sinned...
Actually, I don't believe in confession (not Catholic, or even Christian, so HA) but I still feel the need to share something.
(Meghan + Stress) X Stupid People = Asshole-Style Outbursts.
In case you haven't noticed, I have been incredibly stressed and irritable recently. Lots of new classes, expensive books, ect. Wednesday are long, busy, hard days for me. Class from 10-7, straight. Well, almost straight. I get a half hour break from the madness around noon. So, I am hanging out with a friend, running some errands, and talking. We are both stressed, and cranky. Bad mood Wednesdays. Whatever.
We come to a rest in the front of the library. She's smoking, I'm wishing I was, and we are both being crabby. Then, she points out this kid that BOTH of us detest. He's one of those people who is so smarmy, disgustingly, fakly nice and wonderful, they should be drug behind a horse out of town. Well, this guy also happens to be a "CHRISTIAN" I write it that way because he slams it down your throat with that disgusting "I am so humble ((BUT REALLY IM GOD KISS MY ASS)) and I love all sinners!" way of behaving, that it is hard to control your gag reflex when he comes around.
Now, this said individual is sitting in front of Weir. For those of you that don't know Tech, this is probably a good 50 yards away from where we were standing. This individual prissly wipes off the bench (because his ass is too good to touch the dirt left behind from the sinner's ass before him, I am guessing) and proceeds to pray. Now, you ask, how did I know that he wasn't just resting his head? That he wasn't just looking at his shoes?
HOW???
Why... because, from 150 feet away, WE COULD HEAR HIM! He was "praying" so goddamned loud that we could clearly hear him from that far away. And this is me, who has had her hearing wrecked by many a loud metal concert.
So, in this situation, what does any sane, calm, individual do? Walk away calmly? Start talking louder? Simply ignore him?
No.
You cup your hands around your mouth, plant your feet wide, and yell at said offender:
"He's not listening!"
