Social media, Y U proliferate?

I'm on approximately 5 different forms of social media right now, and LJ is not currently my primary one. I don't copy all my small meaningless posts here, but I tend to copy the big ones. I've also recently started a blog for beauty & body politics stuff. (Yes, I know I am a weird kind of nerd, that's the point.)
