In a few minutes I'll be taking the twins out to get their 3-month photo's taken. [They're in these adorable matching blue and white outfits with ducks on them.] My past month has been completely overtaken by these two little kidlets. Harrison and Lily occupy my time from 7 in the a.m. until their final feeding at 10:30. It makes for a long day and it shows how much you sacrifice when you decide to be a parent. Every thing that you want to do gets pushed back one notch on the priority list. Being here has just opened my eyes a little wider to all my parents have done for me.
They burp, they cry, but they're worth it. My hand has been pooped on more than once and their cries break your heart, but this is all worth it. There's nothing rewarding about something that is easy. Besides, in my time off I get to escape to the mountains.
Things do get a little lonely. You realize how nice it is to have people around. Maybe in time I will make a friend.
Altitude ain't got nothing on me.
